Core Mechanisms

  • Sums: Players place blocks with a digit ( 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ) or a mathematical symbol ( + – x : = ) to form sums.
  • Crosssum: A block can be part of 2 sums (1 horizontal and 1 vertical).
  • Not like SCRABBLE: When sums are parallel adjacent, the connected blocks don't need to form a sum!
  • Score: Each digit in a formed sum earns you points equal to the digit.

Turn Structure

1) Use blocks to make a sum. Or discard blocks (these go out of the game).

2) Score the digits in your sum as points.

3) Refill your hand to 8 blocks again.

Contents

  • Blocks with a 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9. (6 of each)
  • Blocks with a +, –, x, or :. (5 of each)
  • Blocks with an =. (14)

Preparation

  • Place an '=' in the middle of the table.
  • Mix the other 93 blocks and deal each player a hand of 8 blocks.

Placement Rules

  • - On your turn you can make only one sum.
  • - Each new sum contains at least 1 block from your hand and at least 1 block already at the table.
  • - Each sum is read from left to right or top to bottom.
  • - Sums can lay parallel adjacent. The parallel adjacent blocks don't have to form a sum.
  • - The space before and after a sum must be and remain empty.
  • - Each sum must contain exactly one equals sign ('=').
  • - Before the '=' must be one (example: '1+2=3') or more (example: '1+2+3=6') operators.
  • - After the '=' must be a number only.
  • - Numbers in sums consist of 1 or more digits. (example: '8x15=120')
  • - Multiplying (x) and dividing (:) get executed before adding (+) and subtracting (–).

End of the Game

The game ends when all players don't make a sum while the stock of blocks is empty.

Score

For each sum, you score all its digits as victory points. (example: The sum '8x15=120' brings 8+1+5+1+2+0, so 17, victory points)
