Objective

Create the most productive orchard by forming groups of the same fruit (bananas, cherries, pears, and mangoes). Points are awarded only if the size of a fruit group exactly matches the value of an adjacent water drop. The player with the most points at the end wins.

Card Reference

  • Orchard Cards: Feature different fruits and water drops with numerical values.
  • Starting Cards: Each player begins with a unique starting card in their orchard.
  • Water Drops: The number inside the drop indicates exactly how many fruits of the same type must be in an adjacent group to score.

Gameplay

The game is played over several rounds until the draw pile is empty. Each round consists of two phases:

  1. Drafting (Market):
    • Starting with the first player, each player chooses one card from the face-up market and takes it into their hand.
    • The market is replenished only after all players have chosen a card.
  2. Placement:
    • Each player places their chosen card into their own orchard.
    • Placement Rule: The new card must be placed adjacent (sharing at least one side) to a card already in the orchard. Cards can be placed horizontally or vertically.

Scoring Rules

Points are awarded for connected groups of the same fruit if the following condition is met:

  • A group of identical fruits must be adjacent to at least one water drop whose number exactly matches the count of fruits in that group.
  • Risk: If a group is larger than the number in the adjacent water drop, it is "overwatered" and scores 0 points (unless another adjacent drop matches the size exactly).
  • A single water drop can score multiple adjacent groups as long as each group matches the required size.

Game End & Scoring

The game ends when all cards from the market have been taken and placed.

  • Standard Scoring: Each fruit in a validly scored group counts as 1 point.
  • Alternative Scoring: Each scored group counts for points equal to the value of the water drop (regardless of how many drops are adjacent to that group).
  • The player with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the victory is shared.
