Game Overview

In this tactical tile-laying game for 2 players, you compete to secure the largest areas for your lotus flowers on a frozen lake. The game proceeds in two phases: first, the lake is formed by placing snowflake cards; then, lotus flowers are placed and cards are removed to create majorities.

Goal: To have the most of your own lotus flowers on the lake at the end of the game.

Gameplay

The game consists of 2 phases. In both phases, players take alternating turns.

Phase 1: The Ice Freezes

In this phase, the playing area (the lake) is constructed.

• Draw a card: Draw 1 card from the deck.
• Play a card: Place the card so that at least one side touches an already placed card.
• Place a lotus flower (Optional): If 4 snowflakes of the same color form a 2x2 square, the player of that color may immediately place one of their lotus flowers in the center of that square.

Phase 1 ends immediately when the last card is drawn from the deck.

Phase 2: The Ice Melts

In this phase, cards are moved or removed to shift majorities. On your turn, you must choose one of the following actions:

• Move a card: Move a card to a new position. The card must be "free" (no lotus flower on it), and the lake must remain a single connected group of cards.
• Remove a card: Choose a free card (without a lotus flower) and remove it from the game entirely.
• Place a lotus flower: If moving a card creates a new 2x2 square of 4 snowflakes of your own color, you may place a flower there.

Game End and Scoring

The game ends when a player has no lotus flowers left in their supply or cannot perform any of the possible actions in Phase 2.

Winning Condition:

• The player with the most lotus flowers on the lake wins.
• In case of a tie, the player who removed more cards from the lake during the second phase wins.

Variants and Options

• Expert Mode: Certain cards have special abilities that are activated when played or moved (e.g., blocking spaces or allowing extra movements).
