Introduction
Adonis used to make both Aphrodite and Persephone fall in love with him due to his appearance. Now, he uses this to make his opponents’ workers fall in love with his workers. But how to make this charm trump everything, including the opponent's victory?
Hero Power (Revised)
Once per game at the end of your turn, choose one of your workers and an opponent worker. If possible, the workers must be neighboring at the end of your opponent's next turn.

Explanation
Let us define some terminology. When Adonis uses his power, the selected Adonis’ worker will be the hook and the selected opponent’s worker will be the fish. A common mistake for Adonis is to think that the fish always has to move, but that is only the case when the hook is not neighboring the fish.
Game Strategies
Early Game
Adonis usually has an easy early game because a simple goal is to move up to a level 2. If the opponent follows Adonis to a level 2, that worker might become a fish and get forced to the ground.
Mid Game
If possible, Adonis should try to play in two separate zones (A and B) of the board so that the worker in zone A can become the hook for the fish in zone B or vice versa.
Late Game
As with most heroes, if they still have their power at a late stage position, they should be very powerful. What will most likely happen is that Adonis no longer has his power or the game doesn’t reach this phase.
Specific Matchup
Achilles
Achilles wants to climb to a level 2. The problem is that even after achieving such a thing, Adonis can make him move to the ground (at the cost of using his power) and this will most likely result in Achilles having to use his ability to defend against some threat. For this reason, this matchup is favorable to Adonis.
Apollo
This matchup proves how powerful Adonis is. Apollo is not known for being a very attacking god, but is definitely one of the strongest powers of the game. Adonis chooses just one turn to use his power, but that turn can be devastating. For example, even if Adonis does not achieve a win, he might make Apollo go to the ground when the board is already composed mostly by level 2s, where Apollo's power is useless.
Charybdis
It is funny how the whirlpools might become a liability for Charybdis, since if the whirlpools are on squares A and B, if Adonis moves to a square one move away from B, Charybdis might have to move to A so that she gets teleported to B and finishes her turn next to Adonis. Nonetheless, this will be a tough matchup for Adonis.
Hermes
Be careful, being able to move across the board against Adonis might be a downside since the hook can pull the fish from very far away.
Conclusion
Adonis is a strong hero and it will probably take you a few games to realize his real strength. Forcing another worker close to you is a big deal, especially since the hook doesn’t have to be your moved worker.
