General

• Treat 3-cube cities as an urgent priority to prevent outbreaks.
• Pandemic is all about efficiency of action.
  • Learn to use Direct flight and Charter flight to get to where you need to quickly.
• Don't discard too many city cards of the same colour if that colour disease has not been cured yet.
  • As a rule, more than 5 is too many.
• Build research stations whenever you can as the Operations expert, since research stations can be important for transportation as well as curing diseases.
• The Dispatcher and the Medic make a great combo once you've cured a disease.
• Make sure you can prevent the first outbreak as long as you can, which may seem obvious, but the game is a lot harder past it.
• Save the One quiet night event card for when you most need it, it's your most important event and can only be used once, unless you have the contingency planner.
• The Quarantine specialist is important for preventing outbreaks, so if you are them, try to be in a good blocking location over treating low disease locations.
• Don't forget to keep an eye on your player deck.
  • Once all the cards are drawn it's game over.
• A good 4-player team is the Medic, Researcher, Scientist and Dispatcher
  • Medic and Dispatcher are effective at treating the outbreaks
  • Scientist and Researcher are effective at finding cures
