The starting player gets 1 action, the second player 2 actions, third player 3 actions, and every player after 4th has 4 actions per turn.  With their actions a player may do one of the following moves.
=== Actions ===
For 1 action:
    Place or move a camel to an empty space.
    Pick up a good.
    Move a good along a line of adjacent camels.
    Steal a cube from an opponent. You must also pay a thief token to the person who was stolen from. A good that is thieved is placed under the camel and may not be thieved until it moved again.
For 2 actions:
    Place a camel in a square that already has a camel.

=== Refill ===
The player to the left of the starting player places the hedgehog on any tile.
Each of the 8 numbered spaces are populated with goods from a goods bag that is made up of 9 of each common good and 3 of each rare good. Goods need to be delivered to their respective cities. Immediately when there are only 4 goods that haven't been picked up a refill is triggered where each space that has a good gets a demand coin and each empty numbered space gets a good.

=== End Game ===
Players then take turns. On your turn, you first turn the hedgehog to its left or right, or keep it pointing as is, but may not reverse it. You then must move the hedgehog to any tile which is in a straight line ahead of it, in the direction it is now facing. So no move can ever be in the opposite direction of the previous move.
Once the last refill is done and there are no more cubes in the bag. The next delivery IMMEDIATLY ends the game.

=== Scoring ===
You can skip over empty spaces to reach the tile. When you land on a tile, you collect it.
Each rare good delivered is worth 6 points,  Each common good is worth 3 points, Each demand coin is 1 point and there are end game penalties for holding undelivered cubes 0-1 -0pt;  2 cubes=-1pt; 3 cubes=-3pts; 4cubes=-6pts.
Ties are broken by the player who delivered the most goods.

Some spaces on the board have Butterfly Nets, which are revealed when tiles are collected.  If the hedgehog moves over an exposed butterfly net, the player may immediately choose to draw and score a random tile from the bag.

==Rainbow Camel Expansion==
*Butterflies score the number of points shown. (There are also colored x2 multipliers which multiply the score in that colour)
This expansion adds one rainbow camel and the following two actions
*Dragonflies score only the highest dragonfly collected.
For 1 action and a gold coin:
*Lightning bugs score only the lowest lightning bug collected.
    Place or move the rainbow camel to an empty space.
*Grasshoppers score only the last grasshopper collected, previous tiles are discarded.
For 2 actions and a gold coin:
*Flowers are each worth the number of collected flowers. (Example: if you have 4 flowers, each flower is worth 4 points = a total of 16 points in flowers.)
    Place or move the rainbow camel to a space with another camel.
*For each Bee which you can pair with a Honeycomb, the Bee scores 0 and the Honeycomb scores the printed value.
**Bees are worth -3 without a Honeycomb to live in.
**Honeycombs are worth 0 points without a bee to live in them.
*Wasps are worth negative points as shown on each wasp tile.

The rainbow camel may not be placed on the edge of the board. Any player may place the rainbow camel and any player (at no cost) can use the rainbow camel as part of their path of adjacent camels when moving a good.  The rainbow camel cannot thieve cubes and the rainbow camel may not hold a cube,  however a rainbow camel may be the endpoint for a delivery.
=== End Game ===
The game is over when the hedgehog can no longer be moved. The player with the highest score at that time wins!

Butterfly is simple tile set collection game by Rio Grande. You take the hedgehog from tile to tile scoring points for the tiles you collect.

Gameplay

The player to the left of the starting player places the hedgehog on any tile.

You can skip over empty spaces to reach the tile. When you land on a tile, you collect it.

Some spaces on the board have Butterfly Nets, which are revealed when tiles are collected. If the hedgehog moves over an exposed butterfly net, the player may immediately choose to draw and score a random tile from the bag.
