Hunting Prey in games with 3 players and up is so OP. Try to be efficient about it though. Ideally do it in the process of moving to regions you wanna secure. there are always at most 2 same terrain pieces adjacent to a prey, so using one movement action to occupy both is nice; the third one can be achieved with either a spare movement from when you need to move other wolves anyway, or a sneaky Dominate might do the trick. In 2 player games, however, hunting isn't as important since you don't get the bonus action token, only the points. Just don't let your enemy snatch all of them since it's still a lot of points.

Keep track of how close it is to scoring point on the moonlight board. It is hugely advantageous to trigger it on your turn when you can move your pieces into the best scoring position, especially since scoring triggers AFTER you've finished your turn. However, sometimes you may not want to accidentally trigger a scoring when you are not in the best position, so be careful with actions that advances the moonlight board, especially picking up lone wolves in non-scoring regions.

Early dens don't have to be adjacent to water sources, since you want them more for the sake of upgrading your wolves rather than upgrading into Lairs for scoring. Also remember upgrading your den into lair advances the moonlight board.
