Objective
Win by preventing your opponent from being able to move their meeple.
Setup
Each player selects a tile from the grid to be their ‘held tile’ and places their meeple on one of the outer grid tiles.
Gameplay
Each player turn has 3 phases:
- Moving meeple
- Swapping tiles
- Placing blocking cube
Phase 1. Moving your meeple
Move your meeple to an orthogonally or diagonally adjacent tile. The tile you move onto must match your held tile in either background or icon design.
Phase 2. Swapping tiles
You can choose one of two options:
- 1. Swap two adjacent tiles anywhere on the grid (this includes swapping into an empty space). One of the two tiles swapped must match your held tile in either background or icon design.
- 2. Swap your held tile with any tile on the grid.
Phase 3. Place blocking cube
- Place your cube token on a tile of your choice. The tile you place the cube on must match your held tile in either background or icon design. Tiles with the opponents blocking cube cannot be moved onto or swapped on your turn.
- Your own coloured blocking cube is removed at the start of each of your turns.
Game End
The game ends when a player is unable to move their meeple on their turn. When this happens their opponent wins the game.
