Overview

Two cards are turned up and players bid to win the cards until all cards have been distributed. The more of the same colour you have, the more points you score.

Bidding

Bidding circulates from the active player with raises or dropping out until only one player remains who wins the bid and pays the amount stated.

You can only bid what you can afford, you can't overbid.

If all other players pass on the first cycle, the active player wins the card set for free (free is not 0)

When making a bid, your singles digit cannot match a number card you already won previously (e.g. if you win card "4" you cannot bid 4 or 14 or 24 & so on)

Payment Basics

When bidding is finished, the payment is not given to a bank, but instead to another player(s)

If another player has a card number matching the payment number, they win the payment (e.g. you win card 3, pay 4, player x with card 4 would get the 4 money)

As with bidding, we are looking at the single digit of the payment number (e.g. you bid 14, player x with card 4 would get 14 money)

Whoever wins the bid becomes the new active player

The winner of the bid can never take payment, no matter how they may qualify

Payment Advanced

If two or more players have the same number card, the payment is split (e.g. you bid 14, player x & y have one card 4, they each receive 7 money)

If two or more players have the same number card, but in different quantities, the player with the majority wins (e.g. you bid 14, player x has two card 4s & player y has one card 4, player x would get 14 money)

If no one owns the card, all except the winning bidder receives an equal share

If the winnings need to be shared, any excess is set aside for the next bid (e.g. a bid of 7 wins card 4, x and y have one card 4, so each get 6 money. A bid of 3 wins card 6, added to the leftover this makes 4, so x & y with one card 6 get 2 money each)

Side Auctions

If you are low on money, you may be offered to perform an auction of your own. This allows you to sell off one of your own cards, during this type of auction the active player receives all the money.

Scoring

Once all cards have been won, scoring occurs as follows:

Scoring is based on colour of cards, not number

1 card of colour x = 1 point

2 card of colour x = 3 points

3 card of colour x = 6 points

4 card of colour x = 10 points

5 card of colour x = 15 points

Bonus: Most coins at endgame = 2 points (2 points each if tied)

Endgame Tiebreaker: highest sum of all numbers held
