Metro Bingo is a simultaneous-play ascending bingo game for multiple players. Players draw numbered tiles one by one from a bag and write them into numbered spaces on their route map. Connected ascending numbers form a “stream,” and the longer the stream, the higher the score.

Arrange as many numbers as possible in ascending order to create the longest stream!

Components and setup

There are 42 tiles in the bag. Number tiles go from 1 to 30, with tiles 11-19 having two copies.

There are also 3 special tiles.

Players choose any sheet at the beginning of the game, ensuring that every player has the same one.

Playing the Game

In each round, a tile is drawn from the bag and players must write the number in any available field on their sheet.

Special tiles

  • Star - write a star in any field on your sheet
  • Discard - next two tiles are discarded from the game and the new one is drawn
  • Choose - two tiles are drawn from the bag. Each player must choose one to write on their sheet

Scoring

Starting from the first field of the track, you are counting consecutive fields with the same or higher number written in them. When you find one that is not equal or higher, you put the line between and score the stream. Stream points based on their length are shown in the table on your sheet.

The player with the highest score is the winner.

Advanced sheets

Sheet B

First you write numbers in the shorter track. Once it is done, that track is scored, and the game continues with the longer track. Both tracks share two fields and numbers in them.

Sheet C

You start with writing two stars in any two fields. At the end of the game, you decide where would the scoring start. (In this implementation, the algorithm finds the best score for you.) Bear in mind that field direction is counter-clockwise, which is shown with small arrows between fields

Sheet D

There are three tracks that share some numbers between them. You can fill the fields in any order you like, switching between the tracks as you like.
