Overview

Tic Tac Two is basically tic-tac-toe - but played on two boards at once.

• The main board works like normal tic-tac-toe. The first player is X and the second player is O.
• The tile board is a second grid of face-down tiles. Each tile sits in the same position as a square on the main board.

When you place a mark on the main board, the tile in the same position on the tile board is revealed.

Get three in a row on either board to win!!!

The tiles

The eight non-center tiles are shuffled face down at the start of the game:

• 3 X tiles: these are X's.
• 3 O tiles: not unsurprisingly, these are O's.
• 1 Wild tile: this tile can be used as either an X or an O for both players on every line.
• 1 Peek tile: the player who reveals this tile can secretly look at one face-down tile (see below).
  • However, once revealed, the Peek tile is neither an X nor an O; it actively blocks 3-in-a-rows on the tile board.

The center tile

The center tile is never shuffled, and is always placed in the center of the tile board.

• This tile is neither an X nor an O until someone places a mark in the main board's center space.
• Once a player claims the main board's center, the center tile is then revealed following this special rule:
  • The center tile will act as the revealing player's symbol - but only for the middle row and middle column
  • However, the center tile will act as the revealing player's opponent's symbol for both diagonals

Your turn

1. Place your mark on any empty square of the main board.
2. The tile in the same position of the tile board is then revealed.
3. If you reveal the Peek tile, choose any face-down tile and "peek" at the tile value underneath. Your opponent is told which square you looked at, but not what the tile is. If no face-down tiles remain, Peek does nothing.

Winning

You win by making three in a row on either board, including the center tile (depending on its orientation), the wild tile and any revealed tiles.

Tie: ties can occur in two different ways:

• If all 9 squares are filled and nobody has a line
• If both players complete a line on the same turn - on the same or different boards - the game is a tie.
