Overview
Split the chocolate into smaller groups and collect tiles to score points based on the scoring card.
The player with the most victory points (VP) wins!
Setup
- 35 chocolate tiles are randomly arranged in a 7×5 grid. One tile is removed from the game.
- Each tile begins with a random side facing up.
- One scoring card is randomly selected and revealed. This card determines how each chocolate flavor scores.
Gameplay
Players alternate turns, splitting chocolate into smaller groups and claiming tiles.
On Your Turn
- Choose a group of chocolate tiles.
- Split that group into two smaller groups along a straight horizontal or vertical line between tiles.
- If any group contains 3 or fewer tiles, you must claim one such group at the end of your turn.
Claiming Chocolate
- You must claim a group of 3 or fewer tiles whenever one is available at the end of your turn.
- You may claim only one group per turn.
- If multiple groups qualify, choose which one to claim.
- Keep your claimed tiles in front of you.
- You may privately inspect the hidden sides of your claimed tiles, but your opponent cannot see them.
Continue splitting and claiming until all chocolate tiles have been collected.
End of Game
Once all chocolate has been claimed:
- Reveal the hidden sides of your collected tiles that show a blank side.
- Discard any tiles that are blank on both sides.
- Score your remaining tiles according to the revealed scoring card.
Scoring
The scoring card determines the value of each flavor.
- Individual Flavors: Earn or lose VP for each tile of the indicated flavor.
- Flavor Sets: Earn VP for each complete combination of the specified flavors.
- Majority Bonus: The player with the most tiles of the specified flavor earns the listed VP. If tied, neither player scores that bonus.
Some flavors may award negative VP, so collecting more chocolate is not always beneficial!
Winning
The player with the most VP wins.
If tied, the player who claimed the most chocolate tiles wins.
