Overview

Play cards facedown into a shared grid, whilst trying to gain large conglomerations of the same type from it

Turn

Take the next card of the Banner deck but keep it facedown

Place it on the Alkane Square orthogonally adjacent to another card and within the 3 by 3 grid

The grid is not fixed, it is determined as cards are placed

After placement, if it forms a contiguous group of the same colour then collect it all all cards of the same colour

After placement, if the orthogonally adjacent cards are of a different colour, pick one of the adjacent cards and collect it along with all other cards in the grid regardless of adjacency which match its colour

Finally, choose whether to Recruit or Influence

If you Recruit, this is the only time you can look at the Character side of the cards you have collected and pick one to recruit. You cannot recruit a character if you already hold a copy of that character. You can only hold 4 characters total, but unlimited Titans. Recruiting your 5th Titan wins you the game. If you cannot or do not want to recruit, discard all collected cards. If you already hold 4 characters, you can still recruit a 5th, but then immediately have to discard a current Character to bring the total back down to 4. Discarding a previous Character does NOT remove any Castles it provided you with already.

If you Influence, place the cards in a column representing its realm, a current one if one is already formed or a new one if you haven't collected this realm yet. After which, trigger Council members affected by this realm. Finally, trigger the Throne Room if the requirements are met.

Game End

The game ends immediately if a player recruits their 5th unique Titan, that player wins!

Otherwise, the game ends when the banner deck is depleted and the current player has fully resolved their turn (This may result in a 5th Titan Win)

If there is not a 5th Titan win, each player triggers their end game abilities, if any

The player with the most Castles, wins!
