Castaways

2 Player quick duel focused around bluffing and chance.

Board Setup

- 1st player picks a captain character.
- 2nd player picks a crew character.
- Set up the plank with both characters in the middle and 4 plank cards to either side.
- Each player lays their 3 base powerups in front of them.
- Each player lays their 6 starting crew in front of them.
- Each player lays their 8 health in front of them.
- Each player draws 3 cards from the deck.
- Each player holds their 3 attack/defend cards in their hand.

Victory Conditions

- A player loses if their health drops to 0.
- A player loses if they no longer have any crew.
- A player loses if they are pushed back into a non-plank space.

Player Turn

- Play 1 card from your hand
- Discard 1 card from your hand
- Secretly lay down an attack card.
- Other player secretly lays down a defense card.
- If cards match, nothing happens.
- If cards do not match, deal all the damage of the chosen attack.
- Refill hand to 3 cards (Draw 2 cards).

Playing Cards

- When playing a "Powerup" card, add it to the matching stack in front of you. 
    - The name of the attack (Charge/Strike/Insult) must match the stack.
    - The top of the card is the damage type, stacks can have different damage types in them.
- When playing an "Action" card, discard it and perform the specified action.
    - Some actions will let you draw and play a bonus card if your character matches the type.
    - Destroy actions cannot destroy the base powerup in a stack.
    - Actions can never cause a player to lose. They cannot steal the last crew or flip a players current tile to sharks.
    - Block actions can be placed on the enemy stack to remind them that stack cannot be used for 1 turn.

Dealing Damage

- When an attack lands, every card on the stack is applied as damage. 
- 1 Charge damage pushes the character 1 space down the plank.
- 1 Strike damage removes 1 health token.
- 1 Insult damage steals 1 crew.

Crew

- If a player has 4 crew of the same type, all of that players attacks deal 1 bonus damage of that type.

Extra

- Taunting and bluffing about your actions is heavily encouraged.
