Goal of the Game
In Bunny Boom, your objective is to saddle the other villagers with the rabbit problem. The player who ends the game with the fewest bunnies is the winner.
Setup
- Each player chooses a Villager pawn and a matching Home tile.
- Place the center tile in the middle and put all pawns on it.
- Each player starts with 1 bunny on their Home tile.
- Create a "River" of 3 face-up cards next to the draw pile.
- Deal a hand of 3 cards to each player.
Game Flow
Villagers take turns in clockwise order. A turn consists of the following steps:
- Play a Card: Place one card from your hand onto the board.
- Phase 1: Cards are placed in lines (max 3 cards per direction) around the center.
- Phase 2: Cards are stacked on top of previously played cards.
- Activate Effect: Resolve the "Play effect" of the card you just placed.
- Movement: Move your pawn orthogonally to the card you just played.
- Activate the "Movement effect" of every card you cross.
- Pick up any Bunny tokens on the cards you cross and add them to your Home tile.
- River Effect (optional): If the card has a wave icon, you may activate one "River effect" from a card in the River and then discard it.
- Draw: Refill your hand to 3 cards from the deck or the River.
Key Mechanics
- Stacking: When playing a card on top of another, you take penalty bunnies if the suits do not match. If they match, the space becomes "closed".
- Bunny Boom: Specific cards place tokens on the board. These must be collected by players who move across those spaces.
Scoring & End of Game
The game ends when the draw pile is empty or no more cards can be legally played.
- Count all Bunny tokens on your Home tile.
- Add the bunny values of the cards remaining in your hand.
- The player holding the Carrot token adds 4 bunnies to their total.
The villager with the lowest total score wins.
