Objective

Amass the most Fame in the Caribbean. While the Bluefin Squadron and Mollusk Union battle for regional control, Smugglers deliver cargo to gain wealth and influence.

The Factions

  • Bluefin Squadron: Military faction. Uses gunboats to patrol regions, build strongholds, and collect taxes.
  • Mollusk Union: Guerrilla faction. Uses hidden currents, spreads propaganda, and leads insurrections to reclaim the seas.
  • Smugglers (Blue/Yellow): Neutral merchants. Deliver cargo between islands to increase wealth and place bets on the war's outcome.

Gameplay

The game is played in rounds. On your turn, perform the following steps:

  1. Roll Dice: Roll your 4 action dice.
  2. Take Actions: Place your dice on your player board to activate abilities:
    • Sail: Move your ship across the map. Crossing borders may cost extra movement.
    • Cannons: Attack adjacent ships to damage them or force them to retreat.
    • Recruit: Hire Crew cards to gain permanent bonuses or new action slots.
    • Faction Specific: Sharks build strongholds, Mollusks spread propaganda, Smugglers pick up or deliver cargo.
  3. Explore: When moving off the edge of a tile, draw and place a new region tile.

Combat & Damage

  • Attacker and defender compare combat strengths (Base + Card bonuses + Die roll).
  • Taking damage adds damage tiles to your board, blocking action slots until repaired.

Game End & Scoring

The game ends immediately when a player reaches 30 Fame. Final scoring includes:

  • Regional Control: Sharks and Mollusks score points based on the Wealth value of regions they control.
  • Influence: Smugglers score points based on their influence with factions from successful deliveries.
  • Cards & Rewards: Points from specific Crew cards or treasures.
  • The player with the highest total score wins. In case of a tie, the player with the most gold wins.
