Jesters and Wizards

If these are in your hand, it can usually guarantee the outcome of the trick. There are four of each in the deck. Wizards, if you play first, will guarantee a win. Jesters will usually guarantee a lose unless you are the first person to play. Gauge based on turn numbers, number of Jesters in your hand vs. the deck & opponents and gauge what your opponent needs (do they need more tricks?)

Limiting Suits in Hand

Get rid of suits to allow flexibility in later turns.

For example, you can play trump cards if you don't have the suit. You can get rid of other suit cards if you don't have the suit.

Starting a Round with Trump

If you have a low trump card and you're going first in a turn, play it to "fish" trump cards from other players.
