1) Do no underestimate the General!

In the right moment, the General is an incredible strong card. Like no other card it has the ability to swing the game in your favour by generating a surplus of cards. For example, imagine a situation with you having two cards in hand and an opponent having four. If one of your cards is the General and you play it to that opponent, swaping hands, you get four cards in return for one plus the the six point from the General. That effectivly is a exchange of three cards for the General. Which will be game winning most of the time.

2) Card advantage is pretty key. But be aware of Generals!

The game only ends when all cards have been played. While players that ran out of cards will be skipped. That means if you are the last player left with cards, you are the only one able to interact with the Courts. No one can mess with you. That is particular helpful if you have Assassins or Jesters left, as you have full control which Court they go to.

But be aware of the Generals. If you mindlessly collect cards from other players, a General might hit you pretty hard.

3) Play Squire to have a safe Knight

If you want to play a Knight for its Intrigue effect, but are not sure whether they have a Squire, you can play one on your own. That way all Squires need to be played. Furthermore, if some does not play a Squire you can be sure they do not have one.

4) Trader with Jester is strong

Using the Trader for its Intrigue effect and giving away a Jester, in general, is a strong move. On the one side, the Jester is an inflexible and dangerous card. On the other side, the cards with a higher Influence - Knight, General and Princess - are all extremly valuable. In case, they have one of those it will be a good trade opening new possibilities for you.
