Understanding the timing for when to place certain tiles is crucial. What works early in the game might not be appropriate for the final moves, and vice versa.

EARLY-GAME

Build a Foundation: Place tiles in a way that opens opportunities to build larger frameworks of a specific color later in the game.

Look for Synergies: Try to place tiles that can contribute to multiple tasks simultaneously, making your moves more efficient.

Block Opponents: If you see a strong framework developing for an opponent, try to place tiles in a way that disrupts their ability to complete tasks or gain points. However, this is not as important as building a sturdy foundation for yourself at this stage.

MID-GAME

Connect and Complete: Focus on connecting tiles of the same color to meet the requirements of various tasks, such as having a certain number of a specific color adjacent.

Leverage Scoring Tiles: Once you've built up a strong framework of a color, use scoring tiles that are adjacent to those frameworks to easily claim them and earn points.

Keep Your Options Open: Be ready to adjust your plan based on the tiles that are drawn and what your opponents are doing. A player who is not flexible can easily be stifled.

END-GAME

Block Opponents: It's more important than ever to block opponents late in the game to keep them from achieving their victory points.

If You're Tied Or Leading: Look for ways to make small additions and take advantage of any remaining opportunities to score points by completing tasks.

Consider Risky Moves: If you are far behind, a risky but potentially high-reward move is likely necessary to close the gap and avoid a loss.
