Your goal is to attract more workers and develop trade routes.

Try to keep your bag small and predictable.

Going to the Beneficial Deeds board gets you coins/points and trims your bag down so you can get what you want.

Advance up the Beneficial Deeds board especially if you don’t need the workers anymore.

If you go to the village, etc to draw more workers, and none are there, you can’t advance up the track.

Technology tiles are nice, but remember that acquiring the workers that could go on those spots gets you the worker AND the benefit. Thus having more workers is usually better (as long as you can draw them).

Development (books) are good end of game points but are worth less the further up the track you go.
