Make sure not to pop your own color unless you have to. But also make sure that there's another color you don't pop, so that people won't be able to tell which one's your color and which one's just a diversion.

For instance, let's say that your color is pink. In that case, if you pop just two pink bubbles and pop zero blue bubbles, people will think blue's your color, so they'll gladly pop pink bubbles--which of course is exactly what you want them to do.
