Overview

Build a marvelous machine in a thought provoking two step process

Round Basics

3 new tiles are drawn

Starting with the Meca player, each player takes a tile

This means that the Meca player takes 2 tiles, and the non-Meca player takes one

At the end of a round, pass the Meca so the non-Meca player becomes the Meca player and on the new round will take the majority tiles

Turn

On your turn, take a tile from those available and either place it on your side or place it centrally

If you place it on your side, it must either match the colour or shape or both as the adjacent tile in the central row AND the space you wish to place it on must be empty. If you can't fulfil these criteria, then you are forced to choose placing it centrally

If you place it on a central space, there are no criteria and it can be placed on whichever pile you wish. After placing, check if a link is still established between the new central tile and BOTH player areas, i.e. still shares a colour or shape or both. If the connection is broken, no shape or colour similarities, then the tile is released. A release can happen for you, your opponent, or both.

Release

A release phase only occurs if triggered as outline above

Regardless of who caused the release, the player who owns the released tile acts on it

The released tile is now added to your machine

It must be added orthogonally adjacent to at least one other tile

Pipe connections must be observed and must never create a full circuit

All tiles must be added to your machine upon release. However, if you really can't legally place it, it is removed from the game

Meca-Botanist

The face tiles are different to the normal tiles during the Release phase

The face tiles allow you to pick a normal tile from the top of any pile (excluding another face tile)

If this causes another release, you can have the new tile

However, you can have no more than 1 extra tile from this chain reaction

Game End

The game ends when the last tile is played

For connected tiles of the same colour in groups of 3+ earn 1 point per tile

Earn 1 point per flower connected via pipe to a normal tile of the same colour

The player with the most points wins

If tied, the player with the most tiles in their machine wins
