12 Chip Trick is a trick-taking game for exactly 3 players, the players are attempting to score the most points, but if a player scores 21 or more, their points are halved.‎
The game uses 12 discs, half red and half black, numbered 1 to 12. It is a "may follow" game where the players draft the discs played to the trick back to their hands. The winner takes a disc face up, not to be used again. The other players take discs face down, into their hands. The round ends once a player has no discs to play. All players reveal their 4 discs and sum their points. The player with the most points in 3 rounds wins.‎

How to Play:‎
Each player, starting with the first player, takes a turn by turning over one of their face-down chips. The color doesn't matter. Whomever played the highest number, regardless of color, becomes the next lead player. The chips from the previous trick are collected in clockwise order, starting with the person who just took the lead.‎

Chip taking rules:‎
1. If there is a red chip, you must take it. You can choose any red chip if there are several.‎
2. The new lead will put the chip they take in front of them face up. The number on the chip shows how many points will be scored. The other players will put their chips face down, and they may use them in a later trick.‎

Start of new trick:‎
If the lead has any face-down chips, they play one of them, and another trick is started.‎

End of round:‎
The round is over when a person has four face-up chips, and all face-down chips are turned over.‎

Scoring:‎
Add up the points for each person. If a player's chips add up to 21 or more, the value is cut in half.‎
In the next round, the person to the left of the person who started the last round will be the first person to start the next round. The chips are taken, mixed up, and each person starts with two black chips and two red chips. The game ends after three rounds.
