1. Look at the opening board to see what combination of tiles you may be able to build in the first four moves.

2. By the end of the game, it is helpful to have one of each tile type and a couple tall columns that are working together to combine points.
2. Use purple and white tiles in the first half of the game to strengthen your combinations if you can. Taking these colors is almost always a decent move.


3. Getting a purple and/or a white tile early in the game will help increase your points but they may not be so helpful in the end game.  
3. You are trying to average more points per turn than your opponents. So... prioritize your next tile selection in this order. FIRST, look to strengthen the combination you are building. SECOND, look to position yourself in an optimal turn order for future tile selections. THIRD, consider if you can block your strongest opponent from getting more than 10 points. FOURTH, choose a color tile that you have not yet gotten to avoid the -10 point penalty at the end of the game. FIFTH, consider how the active card may affect your points this round. LASTLY, consider the number of farmers or chests on a tile.
