Line 1: Line 1:
Depart on an expedition around the world! Discover unusual and unexplored places, new cultures, new exotic animals, and sumptuous landscapes! Three different expeditions depart from Northern Europe, but each player participates in all three expeditions, trying to influence their progress in order to achieve their own objectives and score victory points.
==Setup==
Every player get 3 tickets and some destinations (12 cards if less than 4 players, 9 otherwise). Six additional destination cards are drawn face up for all players.
==Reveal 4 destinations per player ==
Before starting the game, each player must place a token of their color on the board corresponding to one of their destinations in hand. This is to be done 4 times until all the tokens are placed. These must be placed at least 3 paths from the wind rose.
==Gameplay==
'''On his turn, a player must play an expedition arrow of the color of his choice.''' Either by starting from the wind rose if it is the first, or by continuing the expedition already started.

== SETUP ==
* If he reaches a '''green destination''', the player who owns the card (if there is one) has '''achieved one of his objectives'''. If it is a common destination, the player places the card in front of him and a new one from the draw pile replaces it.
* If he reaches a '''blue destination''', he '''replays a new arrow from any expedition'''.
* If he reaches a '''red destination''', the player '''wins a ticket'''.
* If a player makes a '''loop''' with an expedition, '''he benefits from the effect of his destination AND replays an arrow of the same color''' starting '''from any point''' of this expedition.

Each player receives Expedition cards: 12 cards in a 2/3-player game, or 9 cards in a 4/5/6-player game. These cards are the player's secret objectives. They must lead the expeditions to these locations.

6 Expeditions cards are then turned face-up next to the board. These are the common objectives. Players are competing to lead an expedition to these places first, in addition to their personal objectives.
'''On his turn, when he wishes, a player can play up to 2 tickets.'''

In turn order, players reveal one of their secret objectives and place one of their tokens to mark it on the map. Repeat until everyone has placed their 4 tokens.
A ticket allows you to:

== GAMEPLAY ==
* either '''replay''' an arrow from any expedition
* either '''remove the last arrow''' from an expedition and apply the effect of the destination that was upstream
* or '''exchange one of his cards''' with another of two from the draw pile.

On your turn, you must advance one of the 3 expeditions.
==End of game==
The game ends '''when a player has reached all his destinations'''. Players play again, up to the first player (so everyone has the same number of turns).

If the chosen expedition hasn't started, start it from the Northern Europe location (wind rose symbol). Place an arrow of that expedition color  pointing from the Northern Europe location to one of the 6 connected spots.
A game also stops if all arrows have been played.
==Scoring ==
*each reached destination => 1 point
*each card still in hand at the end => -1 point
*each token taken back => 1 point
*each token still on the board at the end => -1 point
The player with the '''most points wins'''. In the event of a '''tie''', the player with the '''most tickets''' is awarded.
==Additional notes==
An expedition cannot return to itself directly ('''no round trip on the same path'''). But several expeditions of '''different colors can follow the same path'''.

If the expedition has already started, place an arrow of the same color from its last-visited location to a connected location.
Finally, the Earth is round, the red dots at the edge of the board are one and the same destination point (at the same height only).

You can never move back and forth between 2 locations with the same expedition. Different expeditions don't interact with each other, but they can use the same connection between locations without penalty.

Once the expedition's arrows have all been placed, you can no longer advance the expedition.

You can travel between continents, as long as the spots are connected with a dashed line. The left and right sides of the board are connected, represented by half-circles locations with the same name on both side of the map.

=== LOCATION / COLOR EFFECTS ===

Depending on the color of the location where the expedition goes, there are different effects.

Green:

Green locations match with Expedition cards.

If ANY player owns the corresponding card, they reveal it to score at the end of the game. If there was a player token on that location, the token goes back to its owner, for scoring at the end.

If the location matches one of the common Expedition cards, the active player takes it for scoring. A new common  Expedition card is then revealed.

Blue:

Blue locations allow the active player to add an arrow to any expedition.

Red:

Red locations grant the active player one Ticket. The half-circle locations at the edge of the board are red.

=== Using a ticket ===

The active player can use up to 2 tickets during their turn, before and/or after their expedition action.

Use a ticket to take one of these 3 actions:

- Add an arrow to any expedition

- Remove the last arrow of any expedition, triggering the effects of the new last location

- Draw 2 Expedition cards, keep one, discard the other, and discard one of your current Expedition cards. Discards are face-down.

=== Creating a loop ===
If the active player creates a loop back to a previously visited location, they can add another arrow FOR THIS EXPEDITION, from any point visited by this expedition.

== End of the game and Scoring ==
The game ends when someone reveals their last Expedition card or when all of the arrows have been placed for the 3 expeditions. The remaining players have one last turn, so that everyone has played the same amount of turns.

Score:

+1 point per revealed Expedition card you achieved (personal or common)

+1 point per recovered token

-1 point per Expedition card still in your hand

-1 point for each of your tokens still on the board

Whoever has the most points is the winner. Ties are broken in favor of whoever holds the most tickets.

Setup

Every player get 3 tickets and some destinations (12 cards if less than 4 players, 9 otherwise). Six additional destination cards are drawn face up for all players.

Reveal 4 destinations per player

Before starting the game, each player must place a token of their color on the board corresponding to one of their destinations in hand. This is to be done 4 times until all the tokens are placed. These must be placed at least 3 paths from the wind rose.

Gameplay

On his turn, a player must play an expedition arrow of the color of his choice. Either by starting from the wind rose if it is the first, or by continuing the expedition already started.

  • If he reaches a green destination, the player who owns the card (if there is one) has achieved one of his objectives. If it is a common destination, the player places the card in front of him and a new one from the draw pile replaces it.
  • If he reaches a blue destination, he replays a new arrow from any expedition.
  • If he reaches a red destination, the player wins a ticket.
  • If a player makes a loop with an expedition, he benefits from the effect of his destination AND replays an arrow of the same color starting from any point of this expedition.

On his turn, when he wishes, a player can play up to 2 tickets.

A ticket allows you to:

  • either replay an arrow from any expedition
  • either remove the last arrow from an expedition and apply the effect of the destination that was upstream
  • or exchange one of his cards with another of two from the draw pile.

End of game

The game ends when a player has reached all his destinations. Players play again, up to the first player (so everyone has the same number of turns).

A game also stops if all arrows have been played.

Scoring

  • each reached destination => 1 point
  • each card still in hand at the end => -1 point
  • each token taken back => 1 point
  • each token still on the board at the end => -1 point

The player with the most points wins. In the event of a tie, the player with the most tickets is awarded.

Additional notes

An expedition cannot return to itself directly (no round trip on the same path). But several expeditions of different colors can follow the same path.

Finally, the Earth is round, the red dots at the edge of the board are one and the same destination point (at the same height only).
