The board is initially empty.
- The first player places a stone on any cell,
- then players take turns placing two pieces per turn on empty cells.
A few cells in the board are already filled with a neutral colour and cannot be used; they are there to leave an odd number of cells in each line and ensure that a clear majority is possible at each level.
When the board is filled:
- A majority of stones in a line wins that line.
- A majority of parallel lines in each of the 3 directions wins that direction.
- A majority of directions wins the game.
