Don’t forget to “stay” if by doing so you can chop adjacent trees or to plant. Relying on a protestor is a weak strategy. It doesn't prevent the competitor from taking the trees and you lose the protestor man too. If the protester is placed, try to avoid trees maturing adjacent the protester as that will eliminate the protested tree once the adjacent tree falls in its direction.
