Over the course of the game, you want to be able to build the hexes (Rooms in the hospital) as well as your administration or staff which give you extra meeple. You want to balance out the number of meeple to the hexes or you will have more people than rooms. You can only put one person per hexagon. You don’t want more meeple than rooms or you will limit the number of actions you can take. Remember, whoever picks the lowest numbered ambulance (with the lowest dice) will earn a blood bag that round. Every round it will ask you if you want to discard an added staff member or speciality room for a blood bag. Normally say, “No thanks” until round 7 or 8. If there is a staff or room I know I won’t be using, it may be very helpful to discard those extras for a blood bag. (You can only gain one blood bag per round). Try to discharge as many dice as you can each round as more will keep coming in. However, if you can save some for a “big” or final round. You get more points the more you discharge. First patient discharged: 1 point

Second through Sixth Patients discharged : 2 points each

Seventh and Eighth Patient discharged : 3 points each

Ninth and Tenth Patients Patients discharged : 4 points each

Eleventh and Twelfth Patients discharged: 5 points each

(So if they discharged 7 patients that round, they would score 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 = 14 points.)

Bonus 5 points if you discharged all patients
