doing so will become evident during the round scoring.

Additionally, players are allowed to refrain from placing Tiles. In that case, they simply
set the corresponding Tile aside. They may not play it at a later time.

Place 2 cards face up and 2 cards face down in front of you.

The game consists of 5 regular rounds and a 6th Final round, which has slightly different rules.
'''2 Players'''
The process for the 5 regular rounds is always the same:

1. DEAL CARDS
Deal 1 card to each player and place 1 card face down and 1 card face up in the center of the table.
In each round, 4 Cards are dealt to all players, regardless of the number of players.
However, the distribution varies depending on the number of players:

If you are playing alone, lay out the 4 Cards in a row in front of you. The first 2 Cards are

face-up, while the last 2 Cards are face-down.

If you are playing with 2 players, each player receives 1 Card face-down in their hand.
Deal 1 Card to each player and place 1 card face up in the center of the table.
The other 2 Cards are placed in the middle of the table, with 1 Card face-up and 1 Card
face-down.

If you are playing with 3 players, each player receives 1 Card face-down in their hand.
'''4 Players'''
The last Card is placed face-up in the middle of the table.

If you are playing with 4 players, the player with the Start Marker and the player to their left

each receive 1 Card face-down in their hand. The remaining 2 players receive 1 shared
Card. The last Card is placed face-up in the middle of the table.

If you are playing with 5 players, the player with the Start Marker receives 1 Card facedown in their hand. The next 2 players to the left of the Start player receive 1 shared Card,

as do the remaining 2 players. The last Card is placed face-up in the middle of the table.
You are allowed to look at the Card in your hand or the Card you are sharing with someone

2. PLAY CARDS
Deal 1 card to the player with the start marker, 1 card to the two players to his or her right to share (both may look), 1 card to the two players to his or her left to share (both may look), and place 1 card face up in the center of the table.
The Cards are played starting with the face-up Card in the middle. If you have any facedown Cards in the middle (depending on your player count), play them next. Then, play the
Card of the player with the Start Marker, and continue clockwise until all Cards are played.

To play a Card, each player selects the corresponding City Tile from their set and places it

on their City Board according to the puzzle rules. Fountain tiles are single small triangles, half a single square.
Starting with the face up card(s) on the table, each card is played one at a time.

Once everyone has placed the corresponding Tile, the next Card is played.
Players select the corresponding tile from their set and place it on their board.
Note that all Cards, disregarding their position, must be played by all players.

You are allowed to refrain from placing Tiles, but you may not place it at a later time.
Every player places a tile for every card played (regardless of who plays it).
Cards with an exclamation mark on them are very similar to others. Be careful to
place the correct City Tile.

3. PLACING FOUNTAIN TILES
After all cards have been played (and corresponding tiles placed), each player places one fountain tile (the single small triangle tiles).
After all 4 Cards of a round have been played, each player takes one of their Fountain Tiles
and places it according to the puzzle rules.

4. ROUND SCORING
====== Card Order ======
After placing the Fountain Tiles, it’s time for a round scoring. Each

player looks at their City Board and finds the largest fully built
rectangle. Players earn as many points as the rectangle has
squares. For example, if you have a rectangle of 3x4 squares in
your City, you earn 12 .

Scoring example: A City built as depicted would score you 16 ,
2.       Face Down Cards (applicable in 1 and 2 player games only)
as the biggest rectangle is 4x4 squares. Anything outside of the
biggest rectangle is not counted.
Note that for the round scoring, the color of the City Tiles is irrelevant. Only the fact that the squares are fully built matters.

3.       Player with Start Marker’s Card
Before moving on to the next round, there are a few steps to be taken.

it does not correspond to any color, and, therefore, has no influence on your Balance.

Once everyone has finished this, place the 4 Cards of this round on a shared discard pile.

Pass the Start Marker to the person who currently has the highest score. If multiple players
have the highest score, the Start Marker must be given to the next player with the highest
score in clockwise direction of the previous starting player. This rule also applies when the
previous starting player has the highest score as well.

FINAL ROUND (ROUND 6)
·        Rotate and flip the tiles before placing them
After playing 5 regular rounds, there are only 3 Cards left in the deck.
Reveal these Cards in the middle of the table. Now, all players simultaneously place
these last 3 City Tiles on their City Boards according to the puzzle rules.
Once everyone is done, each player receives their final Fountain Tile, and performs one

OVERVIEW

The game consists of 6 rounds. The player with the highest score after 6 rounds of scoring plus bonus points wins.

ROUNDS 1 – 5

Deal Cards (4 cards total, according to the number of players):

1 Player

Place 2 cards face up and 2 cards face down in front of you.

2 Players

Deal 1 card to each player and place 1 card face down and 1 card face up in the center of the table.

3 Players

Deal 1 Card to each player and place 1 card face up in the center of the table.

4 Players

Deal 1 card to the player with the start marker, 1 card to the player to his or her left, 1 card to the remaining two players to share (both may look), and place 1 card face up in the center of the table.

5 Players

Deal 1 card to the player with the start marker, 1 card to the two players to his or her right to share (both may look), 1 card to the two players to his or her left to share (both may look), and place 1 card face up in the center of the table.

Play Cards and Place Tiles

Starting with the face up card(s) on the table, each card is played one at a time.

Players select the corresponding tile from their set and place it on their board.

Every player places a tile for every card played (regardless of who plays it).

After all cards have been played (and corresponding tiles placed), each player places one fountain tile (the single small triangle tiles).

Card Order

1.       Face Up Cards

2.       Face Down Cards (applicable in 1 and 2 player games only)

3.       Player with Start Marker’s Card

4.       Continue clockwise until the rest of the cards are played

Tile Placement Rules

You May:

·        Place the tiles on empty squares

·        Rotate and flip the tiles before placing them

·        Place the tiles exclusively on your own City Board

·        Place tiles adjacent to and not adjacent to other tiles

·        Discard a tile rather than placing it

You May Not:

·        Overlap or stack the tiles

·        Extend them beyond the edge of your City Board

·        Move them once the next card has been revealed

·        Play a tile that was previously discarded

ROUND 6

Place the three remaining cards of the deck face up on the table. Players place their final three tiles simultaneously.

Once all tiles are placed, each player places a final fountain tile.

End of Round

At the end of each round (including round 6, before assessing bonus points) you score points equal to the number of squares in your largest complete rectangle (for example, a rectangle of 3 x 4 would score 12 points).

For end of round scoring, the tile color does not matter.

Your red balance marker moves according to the number of squares in your city that are built with 2 red triangles. Your green balance marker moves according to green squares.

Squares that are built with one red and one green triangle do not count for either color.

Fountain tiles may count as either color when partnered with a red or green triangle, but not when partnered with another fountain tile.

All cards used this round are discarded. The start marker moves to the player with the highest score (if tied, the start marker stops at the first tied player moving clockwise from its current position).

Bonus Points

After the final round end scoring and balance marker adjustments (following round 6), determine if any bonus points can be scored:

Planning Bonus: 15 pts for a fully built 7x7 city board.

Balance Bonus: Distance between red and green balance markers – 20 pts if no distance, 10 pts for 1-2, 5 pts for 3-4, 0 pts for 5+s for 1-2, 5 pts for 3-4, 0 pts for 5+
