IPSO
There are 90 cards numbered 1 to 90 of which:
18 are magenta (those ending in 1 or 6)
18 are yellow (those ending in 2 or 7)
18 are green (those ending in 3 or 8)
18 are blue (those ending in 4 or 9)
18 are orange (those ending in 0 or 5)
These cards may have a number of stars on them that give bonus points.
1 star for each card in (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85)
2 stars for each card in (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75)
Goal of the game:
Build rows of ascending numbers to score the most points possible.
Rules:
You start with 14 face down cards forming a pyramid with a Star card at the top.
Two cards are taken from the draw pile and placed face up in the centre. Choose one of the cards and place on your pyramid, swapping it with a face down card.
The face down card is now flipped, replacing the selected card in the centre.
A row must be in ascending order to score. Not the entire pyramid, but each row separately.
Scoring
For each valid row (cards are in ascending order):
- 1 point per card
- 1 additional point per card if all cards in the row are also the same color
- 1 point for each star in the row (remember the row must be valid for stars to count)
Plus the 3 point star bonus if the star card is unused.
In case of a tie, the winner is the player with the most stars on their number cards.
At the end
You have 2 options:
- You can either choose to keep your Star card and gain 3 points
or
- You can choose to discard your Star card and take another turn. The two face up centre cards are placed on the bottom of the draw pile and a card is drawn from the draw pile. You may then use it to replace any card already placed or discard it. This may useful when only one card is non-ascendant.
