1. Let others Prefect for you.

2. Certain combinations work well:

  a. Mason, Farmer with Saturnus cards - Works great in two player games
  b. Farmer, Smith with Colonist/Mars cards
  c. Farmer with Jupiter(Architect/Consul) cards

3. Remember some combinations work against each other -

  a. Jupiter and Mason work against each other since brick cities don't count for Architect points

4. Remember to use Diplomats wisely - you can copy Colonists, Consul and a host of other cards that you don't have but anticipate your opponents and plan for resources accordingly.

5. Ending the game gives you 7 bonus points, make sure to capitalise but ensure you are in the lead with the 7 points when you do so since opponents can still make one added move. So time it well.

6. Maximize Minerva cards. If you purchase a Minerva, make sure you score atleast 12-15 points from it. Early building resource cities helps use Minerva for wealthy generation.

7. Build cities early and plan for cards later.

8. Avoid hate drafting unless one person gets a lopsided advantage. Remember buying cards is expensive so if it does not benefit you and affects a leading opponent, it benefits the remaining players.

9. Ensure you maximize each cards abilities when you play them:

  a. Buy both cards when playing Senator, not 1.
  b. Build most cities possible when playing Architect
  c. Try to place as many Colonists when playing Colonists

10. A great end game strategy is to use a Consul to buy another Consul that is further down in the aisle.

11. Play as many cards as you can before Tribune so you can maximize revenue.
