The Little Flower Shop
== Game Overview and Objective ==
This is a card drafting game. Each round, players are dealt a hand of 7 cards. They will choose one card simultaneously and then play that card onto their player board, put it in their temporary storage area, or place in their trash to permanently discard it. They will then pass the remaining cards to their left or right (alternating per round) and repeat until all cards have been chosen.


SETUP:
The objective of the game is to have the most Flower Points (FP) after 3 rounds.
1. Each player takes a Shop Window (player board,) 1 Register card, and 3 starting Vases in their color (place at the bottom
of your Shop Window.)  Lay out the money cards to form a “bank.” 
2. Shuffle the 96 Shop cards to create a face-down deck.  Deal each player 7 cards from this deck to form an opening hand.  


GAME FLOW: (For those of you that have played 7 Wonders, this should sound familiar…)  
== Board Overview and Card Types ==
Little Flower Shop is played over 3 rounds, and after those 3 rounds, the end-game Flower Points (FP) are calculated. Most Flower Points (FP) is the winner!
Each player board can hold 8 vases (6 along the bottom and 2 on the hanging shelves) and 3 hanging baskets (1 on each side of the hanging shelves). The storage area below the board can hold a maximum of 4 cards at a time. The trash area to the right of the board stores any cards trashed during/at the end of the 3rd round. At the end of the game, unused cards from storage and the player board are moved to the trash area.
Unlike most games, players don’t take turns in any kind of order.  Instead, turns occur simultaneously.
During a round, players will “draft” (pick) 1 card from their hand, place it face-down in front of themselves, and pass their hand of cards to the next player right/left (depends on the round which way).
Once everyone has picked 1 card, all players reveal the 1 card they picked and “do” what that card does.
Repeat this process until everyone plays their 7th card for the round. If you wish, you can pay $2 from your register (1x only each round) to NOT play the  
last card given to you, and instead you MUST take the top card of the deck and play that one instead. 
At the beginning of each round, all players get a new hand of 7 cards from the deck, and after 3 rounds, the game ends.


YOUR SHOP BOARD:
Holds max 8 Vase card (6 along the bottom, and 2 on the shelves.)
Next to the shelves, you can place a Hanging Basket (3 max.)
The 2 icons at the top show you which way to pass your hand of cards based on the current round you are in.   


STORAGE – Your “Storage (max 4 cards)" is where you can put cards you selected but aren’t ready to use just yet.
Cards:
Cards in your storage area at the end of the game are moved to your Trash Area (see below.)


TRASH – This is where cards go when you have no place for them in your window and your storage area is full (4 cards.)
* '''Vase Cards''' - Vase cards are played on available spaces on the player board. Each vase card can hold one flower card. The flower card placed in a vase must exactly match the depicted image on the vase (color and number of blooms). Note, vases showing white flowers may hold any color flower. Vase cards are worth FP equal to the number of petals at the base of the card.
At the end of the game, every 2 cards in your trash is -1 FP.  
* '''Flower Cards''' - Flower cards are placed in vases by tucking them behind a Vase card (showing the flowers) ONLY if this Flower card meets the FULL requirements of the Vase AND the Vase is empty.

== Round Structure ==
The game comprises three rounds. At the start of each round, each player is dealt 7 cards.


CARDS:
During each round, players will:
1. Vase Cards - When you play this card, you can place it in an available space in your Window, or in Storage (max 4).  If you have no room for the Vase, it must go in the Trash area. Vase cards are free to play, and will score you FP equal to the number of petals around the bottom, but only if you put the correct flowers in the Vase as shown by the picture on the Vase. Vases can only ever have 1 card tucked behind it at a time

The black/white flower means “any kind.”
If there is a specific flower(s) on the vase, then only those kind can be placed into it.


2. Flower Cards
# Draft a card from their hand (if there is only 1 card left to draft, players may choose to spend $2 to draw a new card)
When you play this card, tuck it behind a Vase card (showing the flowers) ONLY if this Flower card meets the FULL need of the Vase AND the Vase is empty.  Otherwise, put this card in Storage (or the Trash if Storage is full.)
# Choose to play, store, or trash the card (the gain money card is played automatically)
# Play a card from their storage (optional)
# Pass the cards to the next player (each round, the cards are passed in the opposite direction of the previous round)
# Repeat these steps until all cards have been drafted for the round.


3. Salary Cards

This is simply money. Put it in your Register.  You can spend it to buy Hanging Baskets or replace your last card.  
After the end of the 3rd round, the game ends. All unused cards in the player's board and storage areas are moved to the player's trash.


4. Hanging Basket Cards
Tally your score:
When you play this card, put it in 1 of the 3 spots for Hanging Baskets in your Window (or just put it in Storage.) 
# Score 1 FP for each petal at the bottom of a full vase.
If there is no room in your Window, and you really want the card, you can move 1 basket already in your Window to the Trash area. Pay the $ cost shown, but only when you place the basket in your Window, not when you put it in Storage. 
# Score 2/3/4 FP based on what is showing on each Hanging Basket cards
At the end of the game, Hanging Basket cards are worth the FP shown on them. 
# Score 1 FP for every $5 in the register.
# Score 5 FP if the shop is completely filled (8 filled vases and 3 Hanging Baskets).
# Subtract 1 FP for every 2 cards in the trash area.


5. Order Cards
When you play this card, you can perform an order at that moment, or, you can place it in storage and perform an order later on. 
These cards represent a customer coming into your shop and buying something for money (fulfilling an order). 
Cards sold can come from your Window OR your Storage area. 
Discard the Order card along with 1 Flower card to earn money.  1/2/3 flowers on the card earns $3/4/5.
You can sell a single empty Vase card by itself instead for $2.
You CAN sell a Flower card AND a Vase card under the same Order card as long as the Flower card and Vase card belong together.  (Add the $$ together for profit.)
Place all money earned in your Register. 


END GAME
In case of a tie, the player with the most vases in their window is the winner. If there is still a tie, the player with the most left over money is the winner.
After 3 rounds, the game is over.  Move all empty Vases in your Window and all cards in Storage to the Trash now. 
Calculate FP the following ways…
Each petal at the bottom of a full Vase is worth 1 FP.
Score 2/3/4 FP based on what is showing on your Hanging Baskets.
Score 1 FP for every $5 in your Register.  Spend this money to the bank.  
Subtract 1 FP for every 2 cards in your Trash area.
Score 5 FP if your shop is completely filled! This would be 8 filled vases and 3 Hanging Baskets.
Most Points is the winner!  Ties broken by the player with the most Vases in their Window, then by most left over $$.

The objective of the game is to have the most Flower Points (FP) after 3 rounds.

Board Overview and Card Types

Each player board can hold 8 vases (6 along the bottom and 2 on the hanging shelves) and 3 hanging baskets (1 on each side of the hanging shelves). The storage area below the board can hold a maximum of 4 cards at a time. The trash area to the right of the board stores any cards trashed during/at the end of the 3rd round. At the end of the game, unused cards from storage and the player board are moved to the trash area.


Cards:

  • Vase Cards - Vase cards are played on available spaces on the player board. Each vase card can hold one flower card. The flower card placed in a vase must exactly match the depicted image on the vase (color and number of blooms). Note, vases showing white flowers may hold any color flower. Vase cards are worth FP equal to the number of petals at the base of the card.
