Discard pile management is key. Cards in front have to be played first so try not to put cards you are not going to play immediately in front of others that you need sooner. | |||
Remember that the goal is to get rid of your pile. If you can't "make it" to your goal number it might not be worth it to play any cards. You may wish to play cards if you are trying to free up a discard pile, trying to allow yourself to draw more next time, trying to stop your opponent, or trying to play all of the cards in your hand to draw again and continue your turn.
