Pandemic is all about efficiency of action. Learn to use Direct flight and Charter flight to get to where you need to quickly.

Don't discard too many city cards of the same colour if that colour disease has not been cured yet (as a rule, more than 5 is too many).

Build research stations whenever you can as the Operations expert, since research stations can be important for transportation as well as curing diseases.
* If you are the Operations Expert, concentrate on building Research Stations. These are important for both transportation and disease curing.

* The chances of drawing any given card out of the City deck are:
The Dispatcher and the Medic make a great combo once you've cured a disease.
** City (48 total): 81% - 84%

** Epidemic: 7% - 10%
Make sure you can prevent the first outbreak as long as you can, which may seem obvious, but the game is a lot harder past it.
** Event (5 total): 8%

* After a disease is cured, the Dispatcher and Medic make a great combation to remove disease cubes.
Save the One quiet night event card for when you most need it, it's your most important event and can only be used once, unless you have the contingency planner.
* Prevent the first Outbreak for as long as you can. The game gets harder once one has occurred.

* Save the "One Quiet Night" Event card for emergencies. It's the most important Event and can only be used once (unless the Contingency Planner is on the team).
The Quarantine specialist is important for preventing outbreaks, so if you are them, try to be in a good blocking location over treating low disease locations.
* The Quarantine Specialist should be placed in a location where they can prevent outbreaks and block disease cube placement. Prioritize this over treating cities with low numbers of cubes.

* Keep an eye on the City deck. If it runs out, the game is over. You can't win Pandemic by "waiting it out".
Don't forget to keep an eye on your player deck. Once all the cards are drawn it's game over.
*The Medic, Researcher, Scientist, and Dispatcher make an excellent combination of players.
**The Medic and Dispatcher can work together at treating Outbreaks
**The Researcher can easily give cards to the Scientist, who can cure diseases easily.
