Goals

The goal of the game is to manage your health, fire wood, and resources, while investigating the fire.

Do not under estimate the tech tree, you need it to win as well as unlock features to help you survive.

Consider which players are coming up next

Consider the stamina, health and items of the players coming next in the turn order. What are you missing and what is a nice to have. Would it be better for you to risk pulling from the deck, and what are the chances you take damage.

Tech Tree

When possible you should roll the fire dice and spend your FKP. You do not have to take every path in the tech tree but optional paths can help your characters.

Characters

Try to select characters with complimentary skills or stats, or based on your play style. Healing skills, stamina skills, item skills, or resource generation skills can all be helpful.

Incapacitation

Reviving a character is very difficult unless you are late in the game. Some night cards can take away health, as can day events (mini expansion) ad Danger! cards. Take a safer option or make sure to eat before taking risks.
