Overview
Place X's to form patterns either with your own or combined with the Wild X's, but be careful as your score is placed directly on the playing board and if someone plays a pattern over it they steal the score from you!
Turn
Place a single X in any empty space
If you make one of the three patterns ( X , + , - ) with 5 pieces of either all your own or your own mixed with Wild, you score (Note: the line shape can be vertical, horizonal, or diagonal)
Patterns with all your own pieces
Replace all the X's with score cubes
Positions with Score cubes are NOT blocked, and so can have subsequent X's of any player placed on them
If a player completes a pattern over a Score cube, the cube is replaced with that of the player who made the most recent pattern
Patterns with Wilds
This works more or less the same as above with a few exceptions
You always have to use at least one of your X's in the pattern
Only remove and place score cubes on your X's
The Wild X's used are then each either left where they are or moved to an unoccupied space as long as said space would not create an instant scoring pattern for anyone's personal X's
However, if you move the Wilds so as you form a pattern with exclusively Wilds, this is an instant win condition
Combined Patterns
If you place in such a way to complete two or more patterns in one go, you can claim both of them
Game End
The game ends in an instant win if a player completes a pattern with only wild pieces
Otherwise, the game ends when a player meets or exceeds 15/12/10 points based on player count
The game also ends when a player runs out of X pieces to place, in which case the player with the most points wins!
Team rules
A team's score is combined, and a team wins when they reach 12 points
A team's pieces are NOT combined, so each member has to create their own patterns
