Objective
The goal of the Guibole is to lose the least amount of points during a game.
Playing the game
Number of players : 2-6 players.
Guibole is played with a standard 52-card deck. The cards points values are as follow:
- A = 1
- 2 = 2
- ...
- 10, J, Q, K = 10
Cards are dealt one at a time clockwise until all cards have been dealt. And another card is discarded.
When it's your turn to play, you have two possibilities:
- show your cards, if you have 10 points or less in your hand to end the round.
- discard a card (or multiple of same value) and take the first card from the pile or the last discarded card before yours.
Note: showing your cards by having more than 10 points makes you loose the round.
End of the game
The game will continue until a player loses all their points.
Points
Each player starts with a certain amount of points (depending of the game length).
If you showed your cards and: - nobody have equals or less points than you, you don't lose any points. Other players lose the points in their hand.
Example: Bob announce 6 points, Alice have 8 points in hand and Peter 12. Bob don't lose points. Alice loose 8 and Peter 12 points.
- Anybody have equals or less points than you, you lose the points in your hand * 2 + 25 points. The players who countered don't lose points. Other players lose the points in their hand.
Example: Bob announce 6 points, Alice have 6 points in hand and Peter 12. Bob loose 6 * 2 + 25 = 39 points. Alice don't lose points and Peter lose 12 points.
- You had more than 10 points in your hand, you lose 10 * 2 + 25 points. Other players doesn't lose any points.
