Overview

This is a cooperative game played in two main phases. First, you must work together to create a crossword puzzle, then try to guess the same phrases as the other players. The more players guessing the same, the more points you earn as a team.

Communication is allowed. Players are allowed to talk and communicate throughout the entire game (“Can you please let me have that card?”, “I have a good idea to improve this arrow!”, “Am I the only one who doesn’t understand this association?”...)

However you are NOT allowed to share your guess or mention the associations you can think of.

PHASE 1

Turn

On your turn, pick a word from the market and add it orthogonally adjacent to a previously placed word or to an Arrow tile.

If this results in a row or column with 2 or more words in it, place an numbered arrow card at the end

Grid Completion

The grid is completed at the end of a player's turn when the number 10 arrow card is placed AND each existing number arrow points to at least 2 words

PHASE 2

Individual Guess Phase

Each player secretly decides on a common term for each of the 10 arrows (These can be words or phrases, but phrases may make scoring more difficult)

Each term must be different, e.g. 4 and 6 can't both be "tree"

The guess word can't share parts of the clue words e.g. The Jungle Book for Jungle or Piracy for Pirate

Double and Nothing

Once everyone has their guesses but before revealing them, the team must decide on one arrow number to double score and a different arrow number NOT to score

SCORING

Each number arrow is scored in turn (except the one voted out by the team)

For each Arrow Number, the team can score 0, 1, or 2 points depending on how many players guessed the same term:

• In a 2 player game, score 2 points if both players guess the same

• In a 3-4 player game, 1 point for 2 players matching, and 2 points for 3+ players matching

• In a 5-6 player game, 1 point for 3 players matching, and 2 points for 4+ players matching

Remember, whichever Number Arrow you chose to double, you will instead receive 0, 2, or 4 points

Ranks

Once the team's score is finalised, you may receive the following rank:

6+ Bronze 8+ Silver 10+ Gold 12+ Amazing 14+ Incredible 17+ Perfect Masters
