Gamehelpretrorevival
In Retro Revival, each player is creating a display of retro items and inventory tiles. Your goal is to gain the most points from 3 different goal tiles, from your placed inventory tiles, and your displayed items in general.
The game is played over 5 rounds, in which you draft and place 4 tiles. The draft direction alternates between rounds. At the end of a round, each player may place an inventory tile. You can see your remaining tiles in the player box at the right.
At the start of a round, you get one tile of each available shape at random. Pick one and decide what to do with it: - Place it face up to use it in your display for its type, color, and shape. Face-up tiles needs to be repared in order to count. The required spare parts are shown at the bottom of the tile. OR - Place it face down to use it for spare parts, gaining the spare parts printed at the top of the front side (showing an item picture). These spare parts can and must be used for orthogonally adjacent face-up tiles that need them.
Tiles can be moved around by clicking in the grid or using the shifting arrows. You may not rotate tiles – all tiles must be placed upright.
Once an item is fully repaired, it will count for goals, inventory tiles, and towards the number of repaired items (1 point each). Once a face-down tile is devoid of spare parts, it will be removed automatically unless removing it would split your display into multiple seperate regions.
You can place a new tile on top of a face-down one, removing the latter without getting its spare parts.
Inventory Tiles You have 5 different tiles: 3 vertical ones, and 2 horizontal ones. - Vertical ones score different things touching them: either shapes, colors, or item types (the illustrated item). - Horizontal ones score the same thing of which you have the most touching that inventory tile: either a color or shape.
Instead of placing an inventory tile, you may immediately place up to 2 spare parts on any face-up tiles in your display. If you do, you get to keep all remaining inventory tiles but you won't be placing them all. You may only ever place one at the end of a round.
After 5 rounds, the game will end and score automatically: your success in the 3 goals, your inventory tiles, and the number of fully repaired items. Any face-down tiles or unrepaired items don't count.
