12 Chip Trick is a trick-taking game for exactly 3 players, the players are attempting to score the most points, but if a player scores 21 or more, their points are halved.‎<br />
===Overview===
The game uses 12 discs, half red and half black, numbered 1 to 12. It is a "may follow" game where the players draft the discs played to the trick back to their hands. The winner takes a disc face up, not to be used again. The other players take discs face down, into their hands.
 
The round ends once a player has no discs to play. All players reveal their 4 discs and sum their points. The player with the most points in 3 rounds wins.‎<br /> ‎<br />

How to Play:‎<br />
 
Each player, starting with the first player, takes a turn by turning over one of their face-down chips. The color doesn't matter.
The chips in the game are:
Whomever played the highest number, regardless of color, becomes the next lead player. The chips from the previous trick are collected in clockwise order, starting with the person who just took the lead.‎<br />‎<br />

Chip taking rules:‎<br />
 
1. If there is a red chip, you must take it. You can choose any red chip if there are several.‎<br />

2. The new lead will put the chip they take in front of them face up. The number on the chip shows how many points will be scored. The other players will put their chips face down, and they may use them in a later trick.‎<br />‎<br />

If the lead has any face-down chips, they play one of them, and another trick is started.‎<br />‎<br />
 
End of round:‎<br />
On your turn, pick a chip to play. (The chip chosen does ''not'' have to relate to the previous chip.)
The round is over when a person has four face-up chips, and all face-down chips are turned over.‎<br />‎<br />
 
Scoring:‎<br />
Once all players have played, the player with the highest chip (or highest chip played earliest if a tie) gets first choice on which viewable chip to take, then in clockwise from them everyone else takes a chip of their choice
Add up the points for each person. If a player's chips add up to 22 or more, the value is cut in half.‎<br />
 
In the next round, the person to the left of the person who started the last round will be the first person to start the next round. The chips are taken, mixed up, and each person starts with two black chips and two red chips.
Two rules on collection:
The game ends after three rounds.<br />‎<br />
 
Chip Distribution:‎<br />
1) The player who collected first (i.e. played highest earliest) puts their collected chip in a display area in front of them whilst everyone else takes their new chips into their hands
1-3: Black<br />
 
4-9: Red<br />
2) Red chips must always be taken before any other color
10-12: Black
 
After this, the player who took first is now the player to play first in the new round
 
 
===Round End===
 
If the player who is now supposed to start the round has no chips in hand (i.e. they are all in that player's display area) the round ends
 
All remaining players transfer their hand chips to their display area
 
All players whose chips total over 21 are eliminated for the round
 
The remaining player with the highest total gains a Score Tile to show they won the round
 
If everyone was eliminated, the player with the highest total out of those eliminated gains the Score Tile
 
In either case, if there is a tie for highest, all tied players win a Score Tile

The first player to collect 3 Score Tiles wins
 
If there is a tie, all players who tied win together
