Overview:
Traditional Māori two-player abstract strategy game from New Zealand.Board: Shaped like an eight-pointed star with outer points (kewai) and a center space (pūtahi).
Objective:
The primary objective of Mū Tōrere is to block your opponent so they have no legal moves left to make.
Gameplay:
Pieces: Each player starts with four tokens (perepere) placed on one half of the outer points, leaving the center empty.
Game End & Scoring:
Trap the Opponent: Maneuver your pieces to surround or block the empty space so that your opponent cannot move any of their pieces on their turn. Then you win!!!
