Start of Game:
Choose 3 out of 6 cards to start your hand with.
There are three types of card:
Hour glass - effect at the end of game (usually specific number of points for specific types of Animus space or portal color)
Thunder bolt - immediate effect when a portal is completed. Effect must be applied when portal was completed and cannot be reserved for later.
Crown - no effect. Just points.
One Animus token will be drawn each round.
Choose an Animus token and decide where you want to place it. You can choose an Animas token from your reserve OR from another portal card.
Option to pass and not place a crystal (but why would you want do that?)
Option to claim an award.
There are two rows of awards.
Top row - based on number and specific color(s) of portals completed.
Bottom row - number of total portal completed.
IMPORTANT: Player can only claim ONE award from the bottom row and it can only be claimed when that specific number of portals are completed.
i.e. Once you've claimed the four-portal award, you may NOT claim the five-portal one later on when you have completed your 5th portal IF you choose to forego the five-portal award when you completed your 5th portal, you may NOT later on claim that award.
