How to play Tea Time in a nutshell:

Each player in turn collects one, two or three characters from the center table. These must be adjacent, and form a line (whether vertically, horizontally, or diagonally). At least one must be collected (even if you do not like it!).

In this game there are 61 cards: 1 "Alice" card and 60 character cards (10 x 6 different characters). The 60 character cards can be "normal" or "mirrored". While one side shows the colorful world where Alice currently is, the second side shows a hazy world, where she came from. Faded colors and gold frame clearly distinguish these sides, but the images are largely the same.

On the first turn of each round, only one character tile can be taken. In the second turn, maximum two.

To score, it does not matter if you choose one or the other.

But if you get both, they "collide" and are discarded (losing both sets of tiles and any point accumulated). This is not necessarily a bad thing because at the end of the game you score 5 points if you have no card for a character. While you get 1,3,6,10 or 15 for respectively 1,2,3,4 and 5 or more.

Number of
characters
  0     1     2     3     4     5 or
more
Victory Points   5     1     3     6     10     15

A round is over when all characters from the table are taken and the new first player is who got Alice. Alice is also worth 4 points at the end of the game.

Enjoy your Tea Time!
