New page

'''Flip the Table''' — run a board game store, host great games, and send the right gamers to them.

== Goal ==
Be the first to collect '''16 hospitality tokens''', or win instantly when '''every opponent's table is flipped'''.

== Your turn ==
Your store has two tables. Each turn:
# '''Staff action''' (once per turn: before progression, before your manager action, or after it): ''curate'' a card from the 6-card display row, play an action card, or deal with a problem (clean up a mess, unflip a table, clean spilled juice, ''cheer up'' or ''pull away'' a discontent gamer in your store).
# '''Progression:''' each started board game in your store turns one hosting token face up, unless a discontent gamer or spilled juice holds it. When all its tokens are up, it ends.
# '''Manager action:''' ''host'' a board game on one of your tables, ''refer'' a gamer from your hand to an open seat in '''any''' store, or take another staff action.
# '''Refill''' your hand to 6. Then the oldest display-row card is discarded and a new one is added.

'''Curating''' costs two cards of the same type as the card you take, or one card of each of the other two types (gamer / board game / action).

== Gamers ==
A gamer is ''content'' if the game's weight is one they prefer (co-op fans like any co-op game; co-op haters never like one). A hosted game '''starts''' when all its seats hold content gamers.

== When a game ends ==
The host scores its hosting tokens. The result token shows which seat wins (or win/lose for co-op), and each '''satisfied''' gamer earns their referrer a token:
* ''Competitive:'' won.
* ''Pensive:'' a pensive or competitive gamer won.
* ''Casual:'' a casual or sociable gamer won.
* ''Sociable:'' at least two sociables at the table.
* ''Dramatic:'' no other gamer is satisfied.

== Trouble ==
Action cards can make gamers discontent, then push them to ''quit'' (the game restarts) or ''flip'' the table (everything on it is lost, but dramatic gamers are satisfied). A flipped table must be cleaned up, then unflipped, before you can use it again.

'''Action cards''' mostly have two modes: choose one when you play it.
