Yoyoyo2020: /* End of Round */

=== Game Overview ===

Players take turns placing dice, the round ends when each player has placed 3 dice. At the end of the game, most points wins!

=== On Your Turn ===

Play is resolved in this order.

# Choose a die from either end of any of the bridges and choose the location to activate with that die.
# If you used a die with a value lower than the space, you will need to pay the difference of pips as coins. If you used a die with value higher than the space, you will get the difference of pips as coins.
# If you took the (lower) die from the left end of a bridge you also get your lantern effects. (These are the effects on your board to the right of your lantern.)
# Then, perform the effect of your die placement.

=== Placement Areas ===

===== '''Castle ''' =====
You may place your die on the first level or second level of the castle (in any of the 5 spaces). You get the effects of the rows that match the colour of the die you placed there -- typically gaining resources and/or performing a Gardener, Courtier, or Warrior action.

===== '''Outside the Walls''' =====
You may place any colour die on the spaces at the bottom right and take one of the adjacent principal actions (Gardener, Courtier, Warrior).

===== '''Personal Domain''' =====
For a row on your board, gain the resources of all revealed spaces, then perform the effect on the card to the right that lines up with the row.

===== '''Well''' =====
If need be, you can always place your die in the well (the space is always considered to be 1). Take a Daimyo seal + other resources.

=== Principal Actions ===
In addition to getting resources, some die effects let you take a Gardener, Courtier, or Warrior action. These can give additional benefits, possibly even additional actions.

===== '''Gardener ''' =====
Choose a garden card without one of your gardeners (left of the castle) and pay the cost in food to place and activate the effect on the card. This card will activate again if there is a die left above it at the end of the round (but not the end of round 3).

''At game end, each Gardener scores points equal to the point value on their card.''

===== '''Courtier ''' =====
You can pick one or both in either order: Pay 2 coins to place a courtier in the courtyard, AND/OR Pay 2 or 5 mother of pearl resources to move a courtier up 1 or 2 levels.

If your courtier ends on the top level of the castle, gain the rewards in your lantern section and place your courtier on an empty bonus space.

Otherwise on level 1 and 2, move the personal domain card on your board to your lantern section (it will boost your future lantern actions), and replace it with the card next to the courier you moved. Then do one of the light banner actions on the new personal domain card.

''At game end, each Courier scores 1 / 3 / 6 / 10 if at the gate / floor 1 / floor 2 / top floor''

===== '''Warrior ''' =====
Choose any yard (top right corner) and pay the iron resource costs to place a warrior and gain the rewards.

''At game end, each Warrior scores points equal to the number of Couriers you have in the castle (not at the gate), and Warriors at the most expensive yard count double.''

=== Free Daimyo Actions ===

* You can exchange 2 Daimyo seals for any resource
* You can exchange 1 Daimyo seal for a coin

=== End of Round ===

Turn order will adjust based on who is farthest right and top down on the Passage of Time (Stork) track.

For any gardener whose bridge still has at least one die, the player may reactivate the action the gardener is on. (Though this doesn't happen at the end of round 3.)

Re-roll the dice and proceed to the next round, or proceed to end of game after round 3.

=== End of Game Scoring ===

==== Score Remaining Resources: ====

* For every 5 coins and/or Daimyo Seals you have, 1 Clan Point is granted (rounded down).
* For each Resource that you have between 3 and 6 units remaining, 1 Clan Point is granted. If you have 7 units of a Resource left, you get 2 Clan Points.

==== Score the Passage of Time: ====
If your Influence marker has reached the second season, you get 3 Clan Points. If it ends up in the third season, then you get 6 Clan Points. Once you reach the fourth season, you are granted the score indicated on the space that your token occupies (which is between 10 and 15 Clan Points).

==== Score Clan Members: ====
# In the Castle: Each Courtier that is in the Castle grants Clan Points depending on the location they are in:
#* 1 Clan Point at the Gate.
#* 3 Clan Points if they are on the first floor (Stewards).
#* 6 Clan Points if they are on the second floor (Diplomats)
#* 10 Clan Points if they are on the third floor (Daimyo).
# In the Training Yards: You gain Clan Points for the Yard by multiplying the total value of your Warriors in this location by the number of Courtiers that you have inside the Castle (not at the Gate): Each Warrior has the value indicated in the Yard they occupy based on these icons.
# In the Gardens: Each Gardener grants their Clan as many Clan Points as is shown on the card they are on.
Whoever obtains the most Clan Points wins the game! If there is a tie, whoever is higher in the order of turns wins.

Yoyoyo2020:

To begin the game you are given a selection of five bird cards. You get to choose how many of these cards you keep. Be aware that the number of bird cards you keep will negatively impact the number of food tokens you will get to keep. Once you select the cards you want to keep, you will then be offered one of each of the five types of food tokens. You will then select which food tokens you want to discard - the number you discard is equal to the number of bird cards you keep. You are then offered to select from two bonus objectives for the game.

On your turn you get to choose one of the following:play a bird card;choose a new bird card; collect some additional food;collect and distribute eggs. As you progress in laying down cards from the left to the right you will gain additional benefits for each of the options. The first column of cards you are allowed to lay down at no egg cost. After that each column progressing to the right requires removing placed eggs from a bird card. When you select an option such as "collect and distribute eggs" you will then also receive the benefit of any cards placed in that row. Placing a bird card in a row does not activate the benefits of previous cards in the row.

Each round of the game has different objectives. These are noted in the square box. The amount of turns you have decreases for each round.

Your goal is to collect the most points. Points are defined on the cards. Different birds have different numbered points associated with them. You only receive points for bird cards placed on the playing board. An additional single point is awarded for each card tucked under a bird card, each food token cached on a bird card, and each egg placed on a bird card. Points are also distributed according to one's rank in each round. Points are also awarded for meeting your bonus card objectives.

== Goal ==

Be the player with the most gold coins by locating treasures on the Tobago island and/or sharing them with other players.

== Rules summary ==

On their turn, each player can choose one of two actions:

===1) Play a clue card from his hand===

The clue cards give the positioning of a treasure for a map of a given color relative to a land type (jungle, mountains, beach, scrubland, river, lake or sea) or to a landmark (palm tree, hut or statue).

Positioning clues are as follows: in, next to, in sight of, not in, not next to, not in sight of.

When the position is given relative to a land type, if there are red brackets above and below the land type it means that the land to use for this clue is the largest of this type.

The player can decide which treasure map he wants to play his clue card on. In order to play a clue card on a map you must make sure that:
*The new clue card mustn't contradicted any present clue cards of the specific treasure map.
*The new clue card must reduce at least one marker from the current amount of markers of the specific treasure map (if there are markers on the board. If there are no markers on the board, you can still put a clue card even if it doesn't change anything).
*The new clue card must keep it possible for at least one marker to stay on the board (a treasure cannot disappear from the board).

When less than 17 spaces on the island match the clues for a treasure map, markers of the color of the map are placed on the island, indicating where the treasure might be.

When there is only one of these markers left, the treasure is located and can be raised.

===2) Move ATV from 1 to 3 legs===

A leg is a move of:

* either as many spaces as you want in the same land type
* or only one space when moving from one land type to another.

===3) Treasure sharing and amulets===

When a player's ATV is on an island space containing an amulet, the player can pick it up. If the ATV is on a space containing a treasure that has been located, he can raise it, and then players have to share it. Raising a treasure will end a player's turn, even if the player has not used all 3 legs.

Sharing of the treasure happens solely between the players who took part in its discovery, either by playing clue cards on the treasure map, or by raising the treasure.

Each player is presented with as many treasure cards as they have windroses of their color representing their participation in the discovery of the treasure (a windrose is placed on each clue card that is played, and a windrose is also placed under the last clue card of the map for the player who raises the treasure). The other players do not see these cards.

An additional card is taken from the deck and the cards are shuffled.

Each player in turn, in the reverse order of placement of windroses on the treasure map, draws a card amidst those belonging to this treasure and chooses either to take it and withdraw his windrose from the map, or to give it to the next player (in the order set by the windroses as described before) who is then presented with the same choice. If no player accepts it, the treasure card is discarded.

Two curse cards can be found among the treasure cards. If a curse card is drawn, treasure sharing is over, and all players who are still involved in sharing the treasure (ie players with windroses on the map for the treasure being shared) can either protect themselves by sacrificing an amulet, or lose their most valuable treasure card.

When the treasure sharing is over, the last player to have been granted a treasure card must reopen the treasure hunt by playing one clue card for the now empty treasure map.

Then, mysterious amulets appear where the gaze of statues strikes the coast, and statues rotate clockwise on their base.

Once collected, an amulet can be spent at any time during a player's turn to do one of 4 possible actions:

* play a clue card
* remove a treasure marker
* move his ATV three legs (NB: it is not possible to collect other amulets while moving thanks to an amulet.. BUT you can RAISE a treasure!)
* exchange the clue cards from his hand with clue cards from the deck

Proper use of amulet power is critical to ensure victory!

===End of the game===
The game ends when the treasure card pile runs out.

'''Have a good game !'''
