- If they are different, you will take control of a Location only after gaining a third key, whatever its color.&lt;br /&gt;

places the marker on the Pearl track to correspond to the number of Pearls that they possess. If they gain more Pearls later, the marker is moved forward on the track.&lt;br /&gt;
- If an opponent reaches the same number of Pearls as held by the Pearl Master, they steal the Pearl Master token from them.&lt;br /&gt;
- If an opponent has more Pearls, they steal the Pearl Master token then move the marker forward to the number of Pearls in their possession.&lt;br /&gt;

If you recruit more than one Lord, choose the order in which they are placed. &lt;br /&gt;
The player must always add&lt;br /&gt;
the Lord(s) by placing them:&lt;br /&gt;
from left to right and from top to bottom so creating an inverted pyramid, &lt;br /&gt;
as shown in the diagram.&lt;br /&gt;

When you add a Lord that gives you a second key, check the two keys in your possession:&lt;br /&gt;
::- If they are identical, you immediately take control of a Location;&lt;br /&gt;
::- If they are different, you will take control of a Location only after gaining a third&lt;br /&gt;
key, whatever its color.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, when you have either two identical keys, or three keys, you must take control of a&lt;br /&gt;
Location by following these steps:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
STEP 1 - Choose a Location.&lt;br /&gt;
- Draw 1, 2 or 3 Location cards at the same time. Choose one of them, then&lt;br /&gt;
discard the rest faceup.-OR- take 1 of the available faceup Locations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
STEP 2 - Place your Location on the Lord you have just added to your Senate Chamber, so&lt;br /&gt;
as to mask the last key revealed. By doing this, your key count is reset to zero: none of&lt;br /&gt;
the keys placed before a Location can be used. You can take control of another&lt;br /&gt;
Location if you succeed in obtaining other keys.&lt;br /&gt;

STEP 3 - Apply, where necessary, the power of the Location (see the Description of the&lt;br /&gt;
Locations’ Powers at the end of the rulebook).&lt;br /&gt;

Lords with 4 and 3 Influence Points respectively give you 1 and 2 Pearls.&lt;br /&gt;
The first player that gains one or several Pearls takes the Pearl Master token and&lt;br /&gt;
places the marker on the Pearl track to correspond to the number of Pearls that they&lt;br /&gt;
possess. If they gain more Pearls later, the marker is moved forward on the track.&lt;br /&gt;
- If an opponent reaches the same number of Pearls as held by the Pearl Master, they&lt;br /&gt;
steal the Pearl Master token from them.&lt;br /&gt;
- If an opponent has more Pearls, they steal the Pearl Master token then move the&lt;br /&gt;
marker forward to the number of Pearls in their possession.&lt;br /&gt;
At the end of the game, the player possessing the Pearl Master token gains a bonus of&lt;br /&gt;
5 Influence Points.&lt;br /&gt;

Adjacent buildings constitutes palaces, which grow in time.  A building can be placed only adjacent orthogonally to an unfinished palace of this color or anywhere on the board if no palace of this color is unfinished.&lt;br /&gt;

Buildings cannot be placed adjacent orthogonally or diagonally to another palace, meaning there is always room for an alley between two palaces.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div&gt;You will attempt to find your paradise island on the good ship Tranquility. To do this you will need to fill&lt;br /&gt;
the entire 6x6 sea grid with Island cards and have played one Start and one Finish card. You all win if you&lt;br /&gt;
complete the grid, and have placed a Start and Finish card, living out your days in an island paradise. You all&lt;br /&gt;
lose if a single player can no longer play or discard any cards (see Section 4) causing the ship to be lost forever. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You may NOT communicate with other players except when discussing the Start card (see below).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

You all take a turn, one after another, starting with the first player and then moving clockwise around the table. &lt;br /&gt;
Play continues in this fashion until the game is either won or lost. &lt;br /&gt;

You select an Island card from your hand and may play it anywhere in the grid providing you follow these rules:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Cards must be placed so that the grid ascends in numerical order from bottom-left to top-right, first&lt;br /&gt;
moving along the bottom row from left to right, followed by the second row moving left to right etc.&lt;br /&gt;
2. If the card is placed next to an existing card in the ascending sequence (even if they are on different&lt;br /&gt;
rows) then you must discard the number of cards face down from your hand equal to the difference between&lt;br /&gt;
the numbers shown on the two cards e.g. placing a ‘5’next to a ‘3’ will mean you must discard two cards.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a card is played between two cards, you discard cards equal to the difference between the card you&lt;br /&gt;
played and one of the cards to either side, whichever result is the lowest. You may not place a card if that&lt;br /&gt;
would require you to discard more than the four cards remaining in your hand. You may not discard cards&lt;br /&gt;
from your draw pile.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Start Cards&lt;br /&gt;
If you have a Start card in your hand, and one has yet to be played, you must play that Start card as your&lt;br /&gt;
action this turn. The Start card is not placed within the grid but in the bottom left-hand corner of the frame.&lt;br /&gt;
When a Start card is played you must discard a total of eight cards between you. You may discuss how many&lt;br /&gt;
cards each of you is willing to discard but not specifics about what is in your hand or where you might wish to&lt;br /&gt;
play cards in the future. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Note: this is the only time in the game that players can communicate. After discarding all players draw back&lt;br /&gt;
up to five cards. If the Start space has already been filled the remaining Start cards have no purpose and&lt;br /&gt;
may be discarded using the normal rules.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Finish Cards&lt;br /&gt;
You may only play a Finish card once the rest of the grid (plus a Start card) has been completed. If this card&lt;br /&gt;
is played before any player runs out of legal moves then you all win the game. Finish cards may be discarded using &lt;br /&gt;
the normal rules but beware: there are only five in the game! You cannot win without a Finish card being played.&lt;br /&gt;

B) Discard two cards&lt;br /&gt;

You may discard two cards rather than playing a card either because you cannot legally play a card or because you choose to. &lt;br /&gt;

Note: we advise keeping this discard pile messy so as to easily differentiate from the draw pile&lt;br /&gt;

complete the grid, and have placed a Start and Finish card, living out your days in an island paradise. You all&lt;br /&gt;
lose if a single player can no longer play or discard any cards (see Section 4) causing the ship to be lost forever. &lt;br /&gt;

You all take a turn, one after another, starting with the first player and then moving clockwise around the table. &lt;br /&gt;
Play continues in this fashion until the game is either won or lost. &lt;br /&gt;
On your turn you must take one action by doing one of the following:&lt;br /&gt;
A) Play a card or B) Discard two cards.&lt;br /&gt;
After taking an action you must draw back up to a hand of five cards by taking cards from the top of your&lt;br /&gt;
own draw pile (unless your draw pile has run out, in which case continue playing until the game ends).&lt;br /&gt;

A) Play a card&lt;br /&gt;
You select an Island card from your hand and may play it anywhere in the grid providing you follow these rules:&lt;br /&gt;
1. Cards must be placed so that the grid ascends in numerical order from bottom-left to top-right, first&lt;br /&gt;
moving along the bottom row from left to right, followed by the second row moving left to right etc.&lt;br /&gt;
2. If the card is placed next to an existing card in the ascending sequence (even if they are on different&lt;br /&gt;
rows) then you must discard the number of cards face down from your hand equal to the difference between&lt;br /&gt;
the numbers shown on the two cards e.g. placing a ‘5’next to a ‘3’ will mean you must discard two cards.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a card is played between two cards, you discard cards equal to the difference between the card you&lt;br /&gt;
played and one of the cards to either side, whichever result is the lowest. You may not place a card if that&lt;br /&gt;
would require you to discard more than the four cards remaining in your hand. You may not discard cards&lt;br /&gt;
from your draw pile.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Start Cards&lt;br /&gt;
If you have a Start card in your hand, and one has yet to be played, you must play that Start card as your&lt;br /&gt;
action this turn. The Start card is not placed within the grid but in the bottom left-hand corner of the frame.&lt;br /&gt;
When a Start card is played you must discard a total of eight cards between you. You may discuss how many&lt;br /&gt;
cards each of you is willing to discard but not specifics about what is in your hand or where you might wish to&lt;br /&gt;
play cards in the future. &lt;br /&gt;

Note: this is the only time in the game that players can communicate. After discarding all players draw back&lt;br /&gt;
up to five cards. If the Start space has already been filled the remaining Start cards have no purpose and&lt;br /&gt;
may be discarded using the normal rules.&lt;br /&gt;

Finish Cards&lt;br /&gt;
You may only play a Finish card once the rest of the grid (plus a Start card) has been completed. If this card&lt;br /&gt;
is played before any player runs out of legal moves then you all win the game. Finish cards may be discarded using &lt;br /&gt;
the normal rules but beware: there are only five in the game! You cannot win without a Finish card being played.&lt;br /&gt;

B) Discard two cards&lt;br /&gt;
You may discard two cards rather than playing a card either because you cannot legally play a card or because you choose to. &lt;br /&gt;

This a hidden movement and programming game.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The goal is to gather all kinds of fighter classes on &amp;quot;recruiting&amp;quot; cities (grey background disk) and defeat monsters threatening the towns (white background disk).  To defeat a monster you need to have all classes of fighters shown at the bottom of the disk.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When a round (year) starts, each player programs his move board with six of :&lt;br /&gt;
 - a colour of path to follow&lt;br /&gt;
 - a white and green symbol to perform an action at the location&lt;br /&gt;
 - a yellow x to wait at the location&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The order are then executed in clockwise order, one order at a time, always starting with the starting player (At the end of the round (year) the start player token moves one to the left.)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
All orders must be followed if possible.&lt;br /&gt;
If a player programs a move then they must move if that colour path leads into/out of the city they are in.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a player programs a white and green action on a grey disk city, they take the weakest unit left on the disk (orange &amp;lt; green &amp;lt; grey &amp;lt; white &amp;lt; purple).  However, a player can only recruit one unit from each city in a round (year).&lt;br /&gt;
Units are peasant militia (orange), archers (green), infantry (grey), clerics (white) and battle mages (purple).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a player programs a white and green action on a white disk (monsters) city, they must defeat the monster if they have the units necessary to fight it (shown at the bottom of the tile) and return those units to the barracks.  They then take two of the three rewards on offer - Wealth (gold tokens), Reputation (placing bard tokens in neighbouring areas) or Influence (placing pieces on sorcerers&#039; towers).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If a player programs a yellow X to wait at the location they do nothing when that order is resolved.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Empty grey recruiting disks and defeated white monster tiles are replaced immediately by the next in line, which can be seen to the right of the board, thus allowing players to plan ahead.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
At the end of Game Years 4, 8 and 12 there is a military census and players can reveal units that they currently have, with the player(s) who reveal the most of each type of unit gaining a reward.  This is resolved one unit type at a time, from weakest to strongest (orange &amp;lt; green &amp;lt; grey &amp;lt; white &amp;lt; purple).&lt;br /&gt;

The game ends after the military census at the end of game year 12.&lt;br /&gt;

There are now three assessments carried out to determine the winner of the game. For the first assessment, the person with the least is eliminated from contention (two players are eliminated in a 5-player game).&lt;br /&gt;
