ZoomQuest is a cooperative fantasy adventuring game for a party of 1-5 cooperating players. Players control characters navigating a network of locations fighting monsters, finding treasures, and learning secrets.

== The Basics ==

Every entity in the game is represented as a hand of cards representing actions the entity can do. Like attacking with a sword, sneaking through the shadows, or fast-talking. In this way almost everything about your character's tactics and behavior is a matter of arranging what's in your hand - and in what order.

Battles and other interactions are modelled by every participant laying out their hand in order in rounds, almost like the terrible kid's card game War. Each round the different cards will interact having some result, then we'll go to the next round by drawing the next card. Entities with more cards in their hand will have an advantage at the end! Hand size is the "level" of an entity, and can be increased by sacrificing cards.

Playing a turn happens location by location. Each entity present will chose one of:

* Act: Play your current hand in your current location.
* Move: Play your current hand, then move to a connected location.
* Plan: Arrange your deck, but perform no actions.

The game takes place on a network of locations connected by paths. Each location can contain players and enemies.

A scenario will have an overall goal for the party to succeed, and each player will also have a personal goal which will vary.
