Game Objective
The player with the most Victory Points is declared The Great Sultan and wins.

Game Turn
1. Bid for Turn Order
The Player whose turn marker is in the first position bids for turn order, paying coins to the bank.

If a player bids 0, pay nothing and push any other player already on 0 "down the aisle".

2. Player's Action
Select one tile, take all the meeples off that tile and distribute them one at a time on adjacent tiles.

- No diagonals

- The final tile must contain another meeple of the same colour you're dropping there

Once finished moving, take the final meeple and all meeples of the same colour off the tile. If the tile is empty, gain control of the tile by placing your camel that tile.

After checking for control, take the action of the meeple, then the action of the tile.

After taking your action, you may optionally sell sets of different goods:
*• Remove the Useful Man from the game to locate any non-monument tile and place it in the £800 place in the market. (The tile in the £300 space is returned to the bag and the others moved to the left.)

|}

The game consists of players taking turns to host events at locations on their estate: each event requires a number of Servants to attend, and a number of Gentry to be played from the hand as guests to it. The outcome of an event will be a gain (or loss) of Reputation and/or Money, and/or the acquisition of new Gentry cards. After hosting an event, you may optionally buy one Improvement from the Builder's Market.

When your hand is running low, you can pass your turn to pick your discard pile back up - optionally taking either £200 or refreshing the Builder's Market.

Each turn
On your turn you can either:

Take a standard turn
A standard turn consists of the following steps:

*1. Rotate service: Move all your Servants one box to the right. (Only those in the "Available Service" box will be available for use on your turn.)
*2. Host activity: Choose tile from your estate to use this turn. Its bottom-left number must be equal to or lower than your family's Reputation.
*3. Invite guests: Play a number of Gentry cards from your hand that match the event.
*4. Provide service: Expend Servants to satisfy the event's Estate tile and Gentry cards. (If you do not have sufficient servants, you must go back and choose a different Estate/Gentry combination, or give up and pass your turn.)
*5. Enjoy favours given by the event tile and the played gentry cards. These are all compulsory, with the exception of "Dismissing".
*6. Optionally buy an Improvement tile from Builders' Market
*7. Clean up

Pass
When you choose to pass:
*• All of your servants move into the "available" box
*• You take your discard pile of Gentry cards back into your hand

*• You may either:
**• Collect £200
**• Refresh the Builders' Market
**• Hire Servants using the Butler's Room (if using the Upstairs Downstairs expansion)
*• You may optionally buy from the Builders' Market
Special Actions

At any time:

* • Spend 2 Prestige to gain £100
* • Spend 3 Prestige to refresh 1 Servant
* • Spend 3 Prestige to refresh the Builders' Market

The final Courtship round is scored on the total for all four Theme colours, rather than just the fourth. (If a colour appears multiple times, it is counted multiple times.)

<big>Turn Structure</big>
Each round of the game represents one generation of development and colonization on Mars. At the start of each round, the first player token moves to the next player.

In every generation players perform the following steps:

1) Research: draw four cards and add any number of them into your hand. Pay 3 M€ for each one added and discard the rest. There is no hand limit.

2) Actions: take 1-2 actions from the list below or pass. If you pass, you will not play again for the rest of the round. Continue in turn order until all players have passed. (Note that, during another player's turn in BGA, you can indicate that you will be passing on your next turn by pressing the Advanced Pass button in the 'current activity' box at the top of the page. This allows you to go off and do other things without holding up the game. There is a Confirm button!)

1) Play a card from your hand

2) Use a standard project

3) Claim a milestone (total of 3 times per game among all players)

4) Fund an award (total of 3 times per game among all players)

5) Use an action on a blue card (each blue card may be used once per generation)

6) Convert 8 plants into a greenery tile (increasing the oxygen level and your Terraform Rating)

7) Convert 8 heat into a temperature increase (increasing your Terraform Rating)

3) Production: first convert all unspent energy into heat, then all players simultaneously produce resources and M€ according to their production values. Players also get M€ equal to their Terraform Rating. (Note that M€ production values may be negative).

Playing Cards
Some cards have requirements in order to play them, such as:

- Global parameters (oceans, oxygen, temperature) must be above or below a certain level

- You must have enough tags of a given type already in play (like Science)

- You must be able to produce a specific resource (like Titanium)

Cards have a base cost which must be paid in M€. This cost can be reduced by other card effects. You can also spend resources in lieu of M€ if the card has certain tags:

1 Steel = 2 M€ to pay for any Building card (brown building icon)

1 Titanium = 3 M€ to pay for any Space card (gold sunburst icon)

Carry out all of the card's effects, gain resources, and increase/decrease production values as directed. If a change to a production value is indicated with a red border, you can choose to apply it to another player or to no one at all. (These are usually negative effects.)

After you play the card, it moves to one of three areas on your board depending on their color. You can change how these areas are arranged by clicking on the "three bars" icon in the header.

- Red cards have no further effects and are automatically hidden. They do not contribute tags to your overall totals but may be worth points at the end of the game.

- Green cards have no further effects, but remain in play to contribute their tags. They may be worth points at the end of the game.

- Blue cards have either an ongoing passive effect or an action you can take on your turn. BGA sorts them into two piles for your convenience.

Standard Projects
You always have the following options on your turn regardless of what's in your hand or on your board. Don't forget them! Each standard project takes one action on your turn.

Note that you can also raise temperature or place greenery by spending heat or plants instead of M€.

Sell patents: discard any number of cards and gain that many M€.

Power plant (11 M€): increase Energy production one step.

Asteroid (14 M€): increase temperature one step (and gain one TR).

Aquifer (18 M€): place an ocean tile (and gain one TR). Note that oceans don't belong to the player who placed them, unlike other tiles.

Greenery (23 M€): place a greenery tile (raising the oxygen level and gaining one TR). If possible you must place it next to a tile you already own.

City (25 M€): place a city tile and gain one M€ production. Cities may not be placed adjacent to each other. (Exception: Noctis City may be placed into its reserved spot even if there is already an adjacent city there, and Urbanized Area has to be placed next to 2 Cities.)

Placement Bonus
If you place any tile in a hexagon with resource icons, you gain that amount upon placement. You also gain 2M€ per ocean tile adjacent to the placed tile.

Milestones and Awards
Milestones and awards place you in direct competition with other players. With milestones you race to be the first to meet a certain condition; with awards you compete to have the most in a specific category at the end of the game.

<big>Milestones</big>
As an action, you may pay 8 M€ and claim a milestone if you meet its requirements. It is worth 5 VP at the end of the game. Only three milestones may be claimed per game.

Tharsis Map - The standard map focuses on urban development and oxygen production.

Amazonis Planatia - A larger map designed for 4-5 players with higher milestone requirements.

* Terran: 5 Earth tags.
* Landshaper: 1 city, 1 greenery, and 1 special tile.
* Sponsor: 3 cards that have a cost of 20 M€ or more.
* Lobbyist: All 7 delegates in parties (including Party Leaders and Chairman). If you are playing without the Turmoil expansion, this milestone is inactive.

<big>Awards</big>
As an action, you may pay some amount of M€ and fund an award. The first award funded costs 8 M€, the next costs 14 M€, and the last costs 20 M€. Only three awards may be funded per game. At the end of the game, check each funded award. The first and second place player in each category score VP (see Game End section). The player who funded the award receives no special consideration.

<big>Game End</big>
Game ends when there is enough oxygen to breathe (14%), oceans enough to allow Earth-like weather (9 aquifers), and the temperature is well above freezing (+8˚C).

Play continues to the end of the current generation (including the final production) and then players have one final turn to convert extra plants into one or more greenery tiles.

The winner is the player with most VPs at the end of the game. VPs come from:
*Terraform Rating (TR). Each time you raise a global parameter (oceans, oxygen, temperature) your TR increases. Score VPs equal to your TR at the end of the game.
* Greenery. Score 1 VP for each greenery tile you own.
*Cities. Each city scores 1 VP for each greenery tile adjacent to it, regardless of who owns the greenery tile. If in play, the unique Capital City tile also scores 1 VP for each adjacent ocean.
*Awards (must be funded). 5 VPs to the winner, 2 VPs to second place. If players tie for first, they all get the bonus and no second place is awarded. If multiple players tie for second, they all get the bonus. In a two player game, no second place is awarded.
*Claimed milestones. Each claimed milestone is worth 5 VPs at the end of the game. Only 3 of the 5 milestones may be claimed.
*VPs on played cards. First, count all VPs on cards that collect resources. Then gather all of your remaining cards (including all your played events!) and count your VPs. If you have Jovian cards, these may have to be counted separately. (To identify this look for the number, or an effect like X VP / Y number of resources, marked inside the planet Mars Icon)

If there is a tie for VPs, whomever has the most M€ wins.

Common rules misinterpretations
If you trying to submit a bug report about possible rules violation please note that at this point it is very unlikely to be a real issue or unique.

See list of common rule misinterpretations Bugsclarification_terraformingmars

Digital adaptation
Interface
Interface should be self explanatory for most part.
*You only can do action that you are allowed to do. If you THINK you can do something and there is no button, see section about "Common rules misinterpretations" above. Same as if you think you did something that you should not have.
*You can do a game action either by using a toolbar button or by clicking game element which is highlighted. If there are more than 7 buttons - buttons no longer shown (but if you really want them there is button "Where are my buttons")
*When multiple effects are in play you have to choose order, if you don't want to choose there is button Whatever to chose random order
*When you get too many cards you can play with card layout option using hamburger menu near card pile. Even when card stacked you always see them by clicking on any card - it will show whole pile in popup. The layout is store per player color per table. If you like to change default layout use Setting panel to store current layout as default.
*There is sorting option for cards (button near Hand panel), which has few modes: By Cost, By Playability, By VP, Manual and None. Be careful when you set to auto-sort - card order may change as you get them and you click or something you not except to be there. Manual mode is drag and drop
Settings
The game is very complex and there is no size that fits all. So we provide customizations. Settings are accessible via Gear icon on the top right.

There are 2 categories:
*Preferences - these remembered in your account and go with you everywhere
*Local settings - these are browser settings, they saved for per player, per theme and for this browser only.

Preference - Theme
For people who like to see game as it was designed by game designed we provide Cardboard theme. It has exact board, player board and printed cards (with English text). Also there are resource cubes for extra giggles.

Preference - Live Scoring
Live scoring is ability of UI show you preview of VP as you would have ended game now. Because its controversial subject it exists as both game option and user preference. If table creator set the option to Disabled, nobody at the table can see live scoring, regardless of their preferences and feelings. Otherwise its a personal choice - you can use Preference of Show or Hide. Unless you play with Live scoring disabled you can always peek to see current scoring table using show Scoring button or clicking of scoring control (the number of point on players mini panel)

Local Settings - Animation
If you fast player you may want to reduce amount and time of animation using settings. Also Carboard theme is slightly faster because it does less animations in general.

Limitations of digital adaptation
*Cannot choose order of come into play effects of project cards (with some exceptions)
*When order of effect chosen - cannot Draw cards before resolving other complex effects
*If you play Ecology Experts prelude card and have no money to play any card, you will have to skip playing a card, you cannot undo anything
*Cannot undo single action (Undo will undo 2 actions or until after last Draw)
*You cannot undo when you are the last player to take an action in multiplayer state (i.e. setup, draft, research)
*When have to draw/discard out of turn (such as Pluto effect), you will draw X/discard X instead (because draw will be done in order that active player chose, but discard will be done after their turn is over)

Solo Game
The solo version always uses the Corporate Era setup; include all the Corporate Era cards and start without any production, except for what your corporation may give you.

All rules apply as usual with these exceptions:
*Before you choose your cards, place 2 neutral city tiles on the map with an adjacent greenery tile each (these tiles are not yours, and do not increase the oxygen level): one is placed in the top left, and one in the bottom right. Special case: If you choose to play Tharsis Republic this game, you get M€ production for the 2 neutral cities even though they are placed before you reveal your corporation.

*Start with a terraform rating of 14 instead of 20 (marked ’solo’ on the track) and without the extra production of resources described for the standard game.

*Awards and Milestones are not used.

*You have a neutral opponent that you can steal from, or reduce any kind of resources and production from.

*In default solo1 mode you always play 14 generations (no more). In order to win, you need to complete terraforming (i.e making the three global parameters reach their goal) before the end of genearation 14. After generation 14, you may convert plants into greenery tiles, following normal rules but without raising the oxygen, and finally you score Tips to win to get as high a score as possible. If you have not completed terraforming by the end of generation 14, you lose. Note: if you using Prelude expansion the game ends at generation 12

*There is a different solo mode called TR63 - it means you have to reach terraforming rating of 63 (not VP!) by the end of last generation (last generation rules same as in previous item).

Variations
Draft Enabled - Draft 4 cards during Research phase, 1st generation is NOT included.

Beginners Corporations - Beginner Corporations start with 42 MC and get to keep all 10 setup cards for free. Recommended only for beginner players.

Corporate Era - All corporation cards are available and all productions start at 0. Otherwise some cards (mainly engine building ones) are excluded and all productions start at 1.

Expansion: Prelude - Prelude variant includes Prelude cards (player chooses 2 out of 4), extra project cards and extra corporations

Expansion: Colonies - Colonies variant includes Colonies tiles with fleets, extra project cards and extra corporations

Map - options Tharsis (base map), Elysium, Hellas (additional maps), Vastitas Borealis (officially released fan made map), Amazonis Planitia (officially released fan made map, bigger map with larger global parameters)

Realtime Scoring - End game scoring is shown during the game, i.e. from TR, played cards, forests, cities, milestones and awards

Multi-step undo support (Experimental) - Allows to Undo action one by one, instead of both actions

Sandman1973: New line added.

Sandman1973: Added a reminder that there is a final production before the game ends.

Turn Structure

<small>Game ends when there is enough oxygen to breathe (14%), oceans enough to allow Earth-like weather (9 aquifers), and the temperature is well above freezing (+8˚C).

Play continues to the end of the current generation (including the final production) and then players have one final turn to convert extra plants into one or more greenery tiles.</small>

<small>The winner is the player with most VPs at the end of the game. VPs come from:</small>

*When you get too many cards you can play with card layout option using hamburder menu near card pile. Even when card stacked you always see them by clicking on any card - it will show whole pile in popup. The layout is store per player color per table. If you like to change default layout use Setting panel to store current layout as default.
*There is sorting option for cards (button near Hand panel), which has few modes: By Cost, By Playability, By Vp, Manuaahhl and None.

Sandman1973: Update to the starting guests.

Overview and Goal
Popcorn is a bag-building game for 2 to 4 players.
You each manage a movie theater and want to show the best
movies to satisfy Guests, and also gain as much Popcorn
as possible.

The game plays over around 9 rounds, each with 3 phases. In turn order,
you may buy a movie, build a theater, and attract new Guests. Then,
simultaneously, welcome your customers and seat them in your theaters.
Optimize their seats to take the best actions, which will let you improve
your cinema, influence your Guests, grow your audience, and gain money
and Popcorn.

You begin the game with a movie, a bag with 5 white guests, 1 guest of each other colour, and an additional guest matching your start movie's colour. 1 guest of each other colour also begin on your exit space. A total of 14 guests.

At the end of the last round, the player with the most Popcorn wins the game!

Gameplay Overview
A round plays over 3 phases: Buying and Advertising, Showings, then End of Round. Play begins with the player with the First Player marker,
then continues clockwise.

1 Buying and Advertising
In this phase, each player takes a turn. On your turn, you may take these actions in any order (all these actions are optional):
* Buy a movie (Maximum 1 time per turn)
* Buy a theater (Maximum 1 time per turn) Note: You cannot take this action on your first turn.
* Activate Advertising tokens

2 Showings

* Open Cinema
Draw as many Guests from your bag as the number shown by thecube on your audience track at the bottom of your Cinema board

* Place Guests
After drawing your Guests, place them in your theaters as follows:
* You may only place Guests in theaters that are showing a movie.
* In each theater, place Guests in seat order (#1, then #2, etc.). You do not have to fill a theater before seating Guests in a different one.
* If you draw more Guests than there are available seats in your theaters showing a movie, place the extra Guests in the exit zone of your cinema.
Note: You may place a Guest on a seat of any color, but it’s better to place them on gray seats or those of their color, and also in theaters with movies of their color.
Once all Guests are placed, continue to Seat and Movie Actions.

3 Seat and Movie Actions
Now is when you may activate your Guests. Move from theater to theater, in any order you choose. You must activate all Guests in a single theater, in ascending order of their seats, before moving to any other theater. When you activate a Guest, they do the following in order:
1. Take 1 Seat action, if possible.
2. Take 1 Movie action, if possible.
3. Move to the exit.
Note: You are never required to take an action.

End of Round
Theatrical Run

Move your Lobby sliders 1 space up on each of your Movie cards, covering 1 more action in each of your theaters. These actions will no longer be available in future rounds.
You may continue showing a movie in your cinema even if it no longer has available actions. You may still place Guests in its theater to take Seat actions.

End of Game
The final round is the round in which the Final Showing card is revealed in the Movies deck.

Position in Deck

2 players = 10 cards below it

3&4 players = 5 cards below it

Scoring
* Popcorn you gained during the game.
* 1 Popcorn for every $5 you have.
* The player(s) with the highest total costing 3 theaters gain(s) the first Theater trophy (5 Popcorn with 3 or 4 players, 3 Popcorn with 2 players). With 3 or 4 players, if there is not a tie for first place, the second highest gains the second Theater trophy (3 Popcorn).
* Gain the corresponding Popcorn from Award cards.

You can treat remaining Advertising tokens toward Award cards! The color of the 5 color advertising needs to be chosen. The "White to bag" can be used to remove one of your white guests.

In case of a tie between 2 or more players, the one with the fewest archived movies wins. If there is still a tie, tied players share the victory.

You begin the game with 5 white guests, 1 guest of each other colour, one movie and an additional guest matching that movie's colour.

* Activate Advertising tokens

2 Showings

* Open Cinema
Draw as many Guests from your bag as the number shown by thecube on your audience track at the bottom of your Cinema board

* Place Guests

FlipToons is a deckbuilding game where each player buys cards that increase their chances of gaining fame points when laid out on a grid. Fame points allow you to buy better cards and get rid of bad cards.

Objective
Once any player reaches 30 fame, all players compare casts in a Final Flip. The player with the highest number of fame points wins.

SOLO: Reach 30 Fame during a Check Fame phase before the Deck runs out (the deck is 30/27/24 cards (easy/normal/hard) after the market setup).

How to Play
Each player's turn consists of 5 phases.

1. Flip
At the beginning of a round, each player flips cards into a 3x2 grid from left to right, top to bottom. Some card abilities change their worth or how many cards are placed and where.

2. Check Fame
Each Toon in the grid is evaluated for how much fame they have generated. Fame is marked to the left of the grid.

If any player generated 30 or more points The player who initiated the Final Flip gets the "critic's choice" award, which adds 3 points to their Final Flip total.

3. Market
A player can make up to two actions, either two of the same, one of each, or only one, or skip all.

Hire a Toon
Each Toon in the market has a "fame price" above it. Higher ranking Toons are more expensive. Spend earned fame on one Toon, which is placed on top of the deck.

Dismiss a Toon
Choose a Toon revealed in the player's grid. That card is removed from the game by spending 5 fame points and does not go back into the player's deck at any time. This action cannot be taken if the player has four or less cards in their deck. Fame is not recalculated.

Note: Unspent fame does not carry over to the next round.

4. Refill the Market
If there are fewer than 5 cards in the market, cards are revealed from the Toon deck to replace them. Cards are then rearranged according to rank. This may mean any given card may be a lower or higher price for the next player. If the market is ever depleted, the Final Flip is instantiated.

5. Cleanup
All cards in each player's grid are collected back into their deck. The decks are then reshuffled. (In two-player games, the leftmost and rightmost cards in the market are discarded, then refilled.) The "first player" token is passed to the next player. If any player generated at least 30 fame in the previous "Check Fame" phase, players proceed to the Final Flip. Otherwise, a new round starts.

If playing with solo/two players, the leftmost and rightmost cards in the market are discarded, refilled and rearranged by rank.

Final Flip
All players complete one last flip phase and check fame phase. The player who generated the Final Flip gets an additional 3 fame for their "Critic's Choice" award. The player who generates the most fame has assembled the best cast of characters and wins.

- PLANET ~ Everyone receives an identical player board bearing a planet. The planet features a grid to be terraformed (filled) with tiles, 6 barrel-shaded lifepods to rescue, and blue water features to irrigate. Gold medallions around the planet show how much each row and column are worth if completely terraformed.

- RESOURCE TRACKS ~ The player board also shows 5 resource tracks on the right-hand side. Everyone's board is the same and their tracks all start at zero.

- OBJECTIVE CARDS ~ At the top of the player board are 3 objectives and everyone's progress toward them.

- STATION COMMANDER TOKEN ~ The golden commander wings rotate clockwise each round to indicate start player.

Additional elements are described below.

TURN
1. The start player may rotate the lazy susan space station until the polyomino depot of their choice is facing them.

2. Players simultaneously draft 1 of the 2 polyomino tiles available from the depot facing them.

3. Players simultaneously place their polyomino tile on their planet according to placement rules, adding a meteorite token if the corresponding symbol is present on their tile.

4. Players simultaneously advance resource track markers based on the colors of the polyomino tile they placed, receiving the benefit of their progress.

5. Start player marker moves clockwise and a new round begins.

POLYOMINO TILE PLACEMENT
The first polyomino tile of the game must be placed within the planet's grid so its edge touch the grid's border.

Additional tiles must be orthogonally adjacent to a pre-existing tile.

All tiles must be placed fully within the planet's grid and cannot overlap or cover other polyomino tiles.

Tiles can be rotated and flipped prior to placement.

<b>Meteorites ~</b>

Some polyomino tiles depict a meteor symbol. When placed on the planet, a meteorite token is placed with it. You must remove the meteorites with your rover in order to score points for the rows and columns you complete. The meteors can also be worth points at the end of the game.

<b>Lifepods ~</b>

Collecting the barrel-shaped lifepods with your rover earns you extra points, but be careful ~ placing a polyomino tile on a lifepod destroys it!

RESOURCE TRACKS/TILE COLORS
Every polyomino tile bears 2 colors. The colors correspond to those on the resource tracks. Everytime you place a polyomino tile on the planet, you get to move up the resource tracks that correspond in color.

Each of the 5 resource track provides a unique benefit, which you claim as soon as the marker reaches a milestone icon. Advance strategically to create synergistic combos!

<span style="color:#000000"><b><u>BLACK Track / Tiles</u> (Civ) ~</b></span>

When you reach a DOME icon on the Civ track, select a Civ Card for an immediate or end of game bonus. You will receive the card after all players have placed a tile and moved their track markers.

If multiple players reach a Civ milestone in the same round, players select cards in clockwise order starting with the current start player.

<span style="color:#0cafff"><b><u>BLUE Track / Tiles</u> (Water) ~</b></span>

The water track is only advanced when you lay the blue portion of a polyomino on a blue space on the planet. You can place blue tiles anywhere on the planet, but they only advance the water track when placed over the water squares on the planet.

Water does not provide a unique benefit but is worth the most points.

<span style="color:#03ac13"><b><u>GREEN Track / Tiles</u> (Biomass) ~</b></span>

When you reach a TREE icon, gain a Biomass Patch to immediately place on the planet following normal placement rules.

:• Biomass Patches do NOT advance the track when placed on the planet. They only help to fill in space.

<span style="color:#a91b0d"><b><u>RED Track / Tiles</u> (Rover) ~</b></span>

When you reach a VEHICLE ICON on the rover track, place a rover token onto the polyomino tile that triggered it.
:• It may be placed on a meteorite if desired.
:• It does not need to be placed on the red portion of the tile.

When you reach a NUMBER on the Rover track, move your rover(s) on the planet a combined amount equal to the track number.
:• The movement can be split between multiple rovers, such as moving 1 rover 2 spaces and another 1 space instead of moving 1 rover 3 spaces.
:• Rovers only move orthogonally (i.e. horizontal and vertical)
:• Rovers can move anywhere on the planet. They are not restricted to moving only on polyomino tiles.
:• When a Rover enters a space with either a Lifepod or Meteor, the component is collected.

If you reach the top of the Rover Track, you continue to be able to move the rover when red tiles are placed.

<i>If a tile or biomass patch is placed on the rover, the rover is destroyed.</i>

<span style="color:#808080"><b><u>GRAY Track / Tiles</u> (Tech) ~</b></span>

Milestones on this track unlock permanent abilities that apply for the rest of the game:

LEVEL 1 ~ You don't have to place your tiles next to an existing tile. Place them anywhere on the board.

LEVEL 2 ~ You can store Biomass Patches and place them at the end of the game.

LEVEL 3 ~ Rovers move 1 extra space.

LEVEL 4 ~ Move 2 spaces up the Water track everytime triggered by normal tile placement.

LEVEL 5 ~ No longer place meteorites on the board.

<span style="color:#c8a951"><b><u>TAN Tiles</u> (Energy) ~</b></span>

There is no track for Energy. Instead, when you place a polyomino with a tan square, advance any one track whose color borders the tan squares on the tile you just placed.

:• You may even advance the track of the other color on the polyomino tile you just placed. This effectively allows you to advance that track twice!

<i>In addition to milestone icons, each resource track bears the following symbols:</i>
:• GOLD MEDALLIONS - Players receive points at the end of the game for the highest victory point medallion reached on EACH track.
:• MULTI-COLOR SWIRLS - Immediately move a resource marker up one step on ANY resource track.

If your tile reaches the top of a track, you receive the maximum points for the track. Future tiles in that color have no effect (except for the red rover).

END OF GAME
The final round is triggered either when
:• the last polyomino is taken from any of the depots on the lazy susan, leaving the depot empty -OR-
:• a player cannot place a tile.

If your tile cannot be placed on the planet, you get to choose a tile anyway and advance track markers corresponding to the tile's colors.

After all players have advanced their track markers, any biomass patches should be placed and end game bonuses activated.

SCORING
:• 1-3 points for COMPLETED ROWS AND COLUMNS on the planet that have NO METEORS in them. The amount of points earned is shown in the medallions around the perimeter of the planet.

:• RESOURCE TRACK points for each track, equal to the highest-value medallion your marker covers or has passed.

:• 1 point per LIFEPOD collected. Lifepods destroyed by tile placement are not scored.

:• 1 point per 3 METEORITES collected.

:• Points from End Game CIV CARDS.

:• 5 points per OBJECTIVE CARD whose goal you met.

The player with the most points wins!

If tied, the player with the least empty spaces on their planet wins! If still tied, the player with the fewest meteorites left on their planet is the winner.

VARIANTS
<b>2-PLAYER</b>
:• The space station rotates ONE SPACE CLOCKWISE each turn. All other rules are the same.

<b>SOLO</b>
:• You have 3 private objects instead of 3 public objectives. During setup, choose 1 objective card to DISCARD.
:• The space station rotates one space clockwise each turn.
:• The preliminary target score for the solo game is 60 medals, and your final target score is adjusted based on the composition of the event deck.

<b>PRIVATE OBJECTIVES</b>
:• Each player chooses one private objective card. On BGA, you are selecting the card to DISCARD. If you meet the card's goal, it'll earn you 5 points at the end of the game.

<b>EVENT DECK</b>

Each round a random event card is drawn, simulating the hardships and lucky breaks encountered in the course of terraforming a planet.
:• Events must be executed by all players possible.
:• All actions on the card must be carried out, if possible.
:• When the last card in the event deck is played, that is the last round of the game. There are 20 event cards in the deck.

<b>ASYMMETRIC CORPORATIONS</b>

Player boards offer different player abilities that you can level up during the game. They also come with special limitations.

<b>ASYMMETRIC PLANETS</b>

Each player develops a unique planet:
:• K-273 ~ It's unique challenge is its ice. Your tiles must be placed 100% on ice or 100% on land portions of the planet. The tile may not overlap both terrain types.
:• GAIA ~ Score 2 points for each city on your planet that isn't covered by a tile, but score completed rows and columns per usual rules.
:• PERSEPHONE ~ The planet is divided into 4 quadrants, each with one restricted resource. You must try not to place that resource type anywhere in that quadrant.
:• ARASHI ~ The ringed planet. The ring covers the longest 2 rows on the planet. Every tile placed on the planet's ring must have at least one square outside the ring. Biomass patches can't be place on the ring.
:• PETRA ~ Electrical currents run across the planet, but there is no ice anywhere. Treat the currents as energy terrain for tile placement.
:• TARTARUS ~ An impassable chasm cuts across the planet. Rovers cannot move across it unless they have special diagonal movement tech.
:• CHARYBDIS ~ Start your terraforming at the giant pit in the center of the grid instead of on the outer border.
:• K'AAX ~ Toxic terrain dots the surface of the planet. The spaces must be terraformed before your rover can travel on them.
:• PAJITNOV (The creator of Tetris, 1984) ~ Tiles must be able to slide into place, from any any direction, instead of being dropped onto the planet. Biomass patches, however, can be placed as normal.
:• OBLIVION ~ Lay water tiles over the ice masses at the corners to advance the track. Treat areas outside of the grid as if they do not exist when scoring.
:• CERBERUS ~ A cluster of 3 planets. Gain 2 bonus points for each planet that your tiles completely cover. Treat areas outside of the grid as if they do not exist, for scoring purposes.
:• LACUNA ~ A fractured planet. You many not place tiles over the holes. Treat the holes as if they do not exist when scoring.
