TUP

Depending on the number of players, play

with the following cards:

4 players: Take all cards.

3 players: Remove cards numbered 58 to

75 and return them to the box.

2 players: Remove cards numbered 40 to

75 and return them to the box.

Place a Scorecard in front of you. Shuffle

the cards and place 3 cards face-up in the

center of the table. Then deal 18 cards to

each player. Place them face-down in a row

in front of you, with the dark sea side facing

down. Make sure you can insert and remove

cards without disturbing the order.

Hint: Cards should not overlap or as little

as possible to ensure easy handling.

fish next to them, but face-down cards,

Corals, and Octopuses don’t bother them.

Octopus want to hide in the Corals:

an Octopus between 2 Corals of any

color: 4 points. If adjacent to only 1 Coral:

2 points. If not next to any Corals: 0 points.

Corals like variety: check all

your Coral cards and count

how many complete sets of pink + green +

yellow you have, regardless of their position.

Each set of 3 different Coral colors: 3 points.

Anchor cards (anchor side up): Now,

count how many Anchor cards you

have. Each Anchor card scores minus points.

If you have several, add up all the minus points

per card, regardless of their position:

1st card: -1 point | 2nd card: -2 points
3rd card: -3 points | 4th card: -4 points

5th card: -5 points and so on...

The player with the highest score wins. In case

For easier scoring count points for each player in this order: Bannerfish, Pufferfish, Octopus, minus points for Anchor Cards, Corals.

Each type of card scores differently. All your face-down cards score 0 and remain in place as separators. You also score Anchor cards. Minus points will be deducted later.

Bannerfish want to gather: a group consists of 2 to 4+ adjacent Banner-fish, no other face-up or face-down cards between them:
• 1 Bannerfish: 0 points
• 2 Bannerfish: 2 points
• 3 Bannerfish: 5 points
• 4+ Bannerfish: 9 points

Pufferfish prefer to be alone: a Puffer-fish with no fish adjacent scores 3 points. If adjacent to any other fish: 1 point. If it is between 2 fish: 0 points.Pufferfish dislikes having Bannerfish or another Pufferfish next to them, but face-down cards, Corals, and Octopuses don’t bother them

Octopus want to hide in the Corals: an Octopus between 2 Corals of any color: 4 points. If adjacent to only 1 Coral: 2 points. If not next to any Corals: 0 points

Corals like variety: check all your Coral cards and count how many complete sets of pink + green + yellow you have, regardless of their position. Each set of 3 different Coral colors: 3 points. Example: Paul has 2 pink, 3 green and 4 yellow Corals. That’s 2 complete sets = 6 points

Anchor cards (anchor side up): Now, count how many Anchor cards you have. Each Anchor card scores minus points. If you have several, add up all the minus points per card, regardless of their position:

a player‘s turn consists of 3 steps:
1. Roll the dice
2 a. Acquire new citizens (+ possibly establish a new village) or
b. Take a penalty card
3. Fill up the row of cards

1. Roll the dice
Take the six dice and try to roll them to claim one of the face-up citizen cards – ideally one
with the highest possible number of victory points. The victory points that a card is worth are
listed in the top left corner of the card. The following rules apply when rolling the dice:
• You may roll a maximum of three times.
• After each roll you may put as many dice as you like aside and roll again with the
remaining dice.
• You may also decide to reroll dice that were set aside earlier.
• After the third roll the number of points will be added together. You may stop and
count the number of points earlier if desired

2a. Acquire new citizens
If you can fulfil the conditions of one of the
face-up citizen cards with your dice result then
you may take this card. If you can fulfil the
conditions of multiple cards then you must de-
cide on one of them. The cards that you collect
during the game are collected face-up in front
of you, in your kingdom pile.
The requirements of all citizen cards can be found in the card overview at the end of the instructions.

Establish a new village
For your kingdom to be successful you not only need to attract lots of citizens, but also establish
new villages. If there is a citizen card that you can fulfil the requirements for underneath a village
card of the same color then you can take the top village card as well as the citizen card. Both
are placed face-up on your kingdom pile. The village card is placed under the citizen card.

2b. Take penalty card (Scoundrel)
Does your dice result not let you fulfil the requirements of any of the face-up citizen cards? Then
you need to take the top penalty card and place it on your kingdom pile. The minus points lis-
ted on the scoundrel will be deducted from your victory points at the end of the game. You must
also place the right-most face-up citizen card face-down on the discard pile.

3. Fill up the row of cards
There is now one empty space in the row of face-up citizen cards. Move all cards left of the
empty space one spot to the right, so that the empty space is now under the first village card
pile. Place a new citizen card from the draw pile face-up in this space.
then pass the dice to the next player and your turn is over.

The game ends as soon as one of you takes the last card from one of the following card stacks:
• Citizen draw pile
• Stack of penalty cards, or
• One of the stacks of village cards
Each player takes their kingdom pile and adds together their victory points. The appropriate
minus points are deducted for scoundrels and dragons.
The person with the most victory points wins the game. If there is a tie the player with the least
minus points on their cards wins.

Can you predict the number of tricks you will win? There are other
trick prediction games, but none where you must watch up to 4 tricks
at the same time. Make exactly the number of tricks you predict, not
one too many, nor one too few. Ifyou lose your concentration for
even a minute, your wily opponents will take your tricks away. ..
The winner is the player who has the most victory points at the end
of three rounds.
Game Components
> 60 playing cards
(numbered 1-15, in four colors)
20 markers (4 in each color)
45 victory points cards (9 in each color)

The game is played over three r rounds. Eachr round proceeds in the
following order:
1. Shuffle the playing cards (24,36, 48 or 60 cards, depending
on the number of players), and deal 12 to each player.
2. Each player looks at their cards and decides in which order to
place their three victory points cards in front of them.
. For the first round, each player has the three victory points Cands
with one "pin" on the bottom and the numbers 1, 2 and 3;
. for the second round, each player has the three victory points
cards with two pins" on the bottom and the numbers 2, 4 and 6;
For the third round, each player has the three victory points
M
cards with three "pins" on the bottom and the numbers
3,6and 9
3
Each player places the three victory points cards upside down in a row
from left to right in front of them. The order they place the cards
depends on how many tricks they think they can win during this
round (see below).
All players play their playing cards following the rules explained in
3.
the Trick Taking"section, below.
4. After 12 turns, the round is over. Each player takes the victory
points card they won and places it right side up beside them.
Continue to the next round

Trick Taking

The oldest player starts. The game iS played i
clockwise rotation until the round ends,ie. after 12 turns. The round is then scored, and the next round begins.
The game ends after three rounds.

on each turn a player plays exactly one card. The player can either play the card on an already opened trick, or open a new trick. Note: No more than four open tricks are
allowed at one time.

Each trick should form its own pile, and cards played on a trick should
be placed so that the value of each card in the trick is visible.
Nhoever begins a new trick places their marker beside it to claim it
Any subsequent player who plays a higher card of the same color on
this trick, returns the marker to its owner and places their own marker on it.

Rules for placing cards and taking tricks

When placing a card on a trick, players must follow the color of the fi rst card played on that trick. Players can only play a card of a different color on a trick if there is no other place on the table where the different-colored card could be played. However, a player may choose to play a card of a different color on a trick (if allowed) even if that player could play a correctly colored card on that or another trick.

A player may, but is not required to play on an open trick; as long as there are fewer than four tricks in play, a player may instead choose to open a new trick. A player may open a new trick with a color that is already in play on the table.

• A player may play – over several turns – more than one card on the same trick. Note: If a player’s marker is already on a trick, and the same player plays a higher card on it, that player’s marker remains on the trick.• A trick is “full” when the fourth card is placed on it. Whoever has placed the highest card of the opening color discards the four cards and reclaims the marker. The player winning the trick immediately reveals their victory points card on the left in their display area; this card is now “activated”. If the player wins another trick later in the round, that player
turns the first victory points card face down, and reveals the next one to the right (and so on).
Important: When a player wins a fourth trick in a round, the player re-activates the first victory points card; when winning the fi fth trick, the player re-activates the second victory points card (and so on)

The end of a round

After 12 turns, all cards have been played and the round ends. Tricks on the table that are not yet complete are ignored. Each player places their face-up victory points card on top of the other two, and sets the pile aside. The face-up victory points will be counted at the end of the game (i.e. 1, 2 or 3 in the first round; 2, 4 or 6 in the second round; 3, 6, 9 in the third round). Each player can have a maximum of 18 victory points at the end of the game. A player who does not win any tricks in a round (i.e. has no victory points card revealed) leaves all three cards upside down, and scores zero victory points this round.Prepare for the next round: Shuffl e all playing cards, and deal 12 to each player. Players look at their new cards and place their new set of three victory points cards (2nd round: 2, 4, 6; 3rd round: 3, 6, 9) upside down in any order.The new round starts with the player to the left of the player who started the previous round.

Game End
The game ends after the third round. Each player adds the values of the victory points cards won, and the player with the highest total is the winner. In the case of a tie, the winner is the tied player who won the higher number in the third round, or, if still tied, in the second round. If the players are still tied, there is more than one winner.

cards with three "pins" on the bottom and the numbers
3,6and 9

Important: When a player wins a fourth trick in a round, the player re-activates the fi rst victory points card; when winning the fi fth trick, the player re-activates the second victory points card (and so on)

Pastor8226: Eliminated unnecessary words

You must use the cleaver to make one cut that separates
one or more dice from the block. Lower it carefully into
the seam beside the dice you want to cut away, then push
the blade gently sideways to separate the dice from the
block. Do not disturb the dice numbers when you cut.
If the block gets messy, tidy it up.
Gather your dice, without disturbing their numbers…
it’s best to slide them instead of picking them up!

If you have all of the ingredients displayed on any of
your Recipes, you can cook! Each die counts as one
ingredient of its type.
•You may cook more than one Recipe per turn.
•You don’t have to cook, even if you could.
To cook, show everyone that you’ve got the right dice,
then discard them into the frame. Flip your cooked
Recipes face down. Don’t stack them; everyone needs
to know how many Recipes you have completed.

HYPE CARDS
When you cook a Recipe, you may also play a
Hype from your hand (one per Recipe). Each
Hype describes its requirements for playing it.
Keep your Hypes in mind when cutting!
Read it aloud to confirm that you have met its
requirements before discarding your dice.
Keep your scored Hypes paired face down with
their Recipes; sometimes during scoring you need
to know which one goes with which.

CHEF TOKEN
Before you cook, you may discard your Chef
token to change either the type or the number of
one of your dice.
You’ll get your Chef token back whenever anyone
Restocks (see Restocking, below), so don’t be too
cautious about using it!

Step 3 : Card
Draw one card; a Hype from the deck, or a Recipe
(from the deck or from the display).
•If you draw a Recipe from the display, fill the
gap with a new one drawn from the deck.

Ending turn
At the end of your turn, you may keep (at most)
eight dice, two Recipes and two Hypes. If you are
ove limit in any category, you must discard
items of your choice until you are within the limits.
Discarded dice go into the frame. Discarded cards go
into separate discard piles; if either deck ever runs
out, shuffle the discards to form a new deck.

Restocking

When your turn starts if there is at least one ingredient type missing from the block, you may choose to Restock. If there are
no dice left in the block, you must Restock. To Restock:
Place the frame back in the middle of the table.
Return all spent Chef tokens to their owners.
Gather all spent dice, and all leftover dice from the block (players
keep all of their unspent dice). Roll them loosely into the frame.
Drag the frame diagonally so that all of the dice settle into a
corner, forming a partially-complete block that is still neatly
aligned in rows and columns. The particular shape of the block
doesn’t matter; it usually won’t be a perfect rectangle.
Take the rest of your turn as normal.

ENDING
Endgame triggers when any player
cooks their seventh recipe. They finish
their turn, then each other player gets
one more turn. Then the game is over.
First, all players get one final turn to
of points, but some of them score based

If you are
over the limit in any category, you must discard
items of your choice until you are within the limits.
Discarded dice go into the frame. Discarded cards go
into separate discard piles; if either deck ever runs
out, shuffle the discards to form a new deck.

Restocking
RESTOCKING
When your turn starts if there is at least one ingredient type RESTOCKING EXAMPLE
missing from the block, you may choose to Restock.

First, all players get one final turn to
cook, using all of the normal rules.
Then everyone tallies their own
final score by adding the value
of their completed Recipes and any
accompanying Hypes.
• Many Hypes are worth a set amount
of points, but some of them score based

DEA OF THE GAME
Every round, all players write down the same numbers (1–6) on their score
sheets, but (usually) in different positions. After 22 rounds, each player
will have completely filled in their score sheet. If at the end of the game,
exactly two 2‘s are directly adjacent to each other, you score 2 points. If
exactly three 3’s are directly adjacent, you score 3 points. For exactly
four adjacent 4‘s, you score 4 points, and so on. The two star spaces
double the points you score there.
HOW TO PLAY
Each player receives an identical score sheet and a pencil. For your first
game, we recommend using game pad A. You can find the rules for game
pad B and the solo variant at the end of this rulebook.
The youngest player goes first. He or she rolls both dice once. Next, all
players (including the one who rolled) must write down both numbers on
their sheets. Each player may freely choose where to write down these
numbers, but there is one rule they must follow:
• Both numbers must be symmetrical to the center line: they must be
written down in the same row, at an equal distance from the center. You
may choose which number you want to write down on the left, and which
on the right.

Once all players are finished, the next round starts and the next player in
clockwise order rolls the dice as described above: he or she rolls both dice
once, after which all players must write down both numbers in a position of
their choice, symmetrical to the center line.

The game continues like this until 22 rounds have been played.
END OF THE GAME AND SCORING
The game ends after 22 rounds. Each player‘s score sheet should now
be completely filled in. Points are calculated as follows:
• For each 1 that‘s on its own, meaning there are no other 1’s
orthogonally adjacent to it (diagonally is allowed), you score 1 point.
•If exactly two 2’s are orthogonally adjacent, you score 2 points.
•If exactly three 3’s are orthogonally adjacent, you score 3 points.
•If exactly four 4’s are orthogonally adjacent, you score 4 points.
•If exactly five 5’s are orthogonally adjacent, you score 5 points.
•If exactly six 6’s are orthogonally adjacent, you score 6 points.
Note: Numbers that are diagonally next to each other are not considered
adjacent. You’re allowed to create multiple, separate groups of the same
number. For example, if you manage to create three separate groups
containing exactly three 3‘s, you score 3 points per group.
Very important: both star spaces double the value of a valid group.

The player with the highest final score wins. If there‘s a tie, those players
share the victory.
GAME PAD B
The play area on game pad B also contains 44 spaces, 2 of which are
star spaces. The same rules as in the normal game apply: there are no
changes. However, the three heart spaces are new, which means the
following rules are added:
• Numbers are written down in the three heart spaces according to the
normal rules. If at the end of the game you managed to write down the
same number in all three heart spaces, you score 5 bonus points.
Note: it doesn‘t matter whether these numbers are part of a valid
group or not

If a player does not use all three rolls during a turn (for example, if a ''Castle'' o<nowiki/>r similar combination is achieved on the first or second roll), the unused roll(s) can be saved and used during future turns.

==Yahtzee==

A player rolls five dice to begin a turn. They are then allowed to take up to two rerolls, each reroll being any number of those dice. (In BGA, you click on the dice that you want to reroll.)

After those rerolls, or when the player chooses to stop rolling, the player must choose which category to score the final result. There are 13 scoring categories, and each must be used for one of the 14 rounds. This can often force a player to take a zero score for some categories.

Scoring for Yahtzee is as follows

===Upper section===

1-6: One category for each number on the die. In these categories, the score is the sum of the pips on the dice of that number.

{{InfoBox|title=Example|body=A roll of

:{{whiteDie|1}}{{whiteDie|1}}{{whiteDie|2}}{{whiteDie|5}}{{whiteDie|5}}

could be scored as 2 points in the "ones" category, 2 points in the "twos" category, 10 points in the "fives" category, or 0 points in the "threes," "fours," or "sixes."}}

If a player scores a total of at least 63 points across these six boxes combined, a bonus of 35 points is added to their final score. (Tip: Scoring Three of each number is exactly 63 and nets the bonus.)

===Lower section===
|}

<nowiki>*</nowiki> If you get a 2nd yahtzee, you automatically get 100 bonus points. You must score it in the appropriate upper section if it is available. Otherwise, you can use it as a "joker" to score another category in the bottom section.

==Yams==

In the game of Yams, the categories and calculations are slightly different. Scores are generally higher.

===Upper section===

This is similar to Yahtzee but the bonus is calculated differently. The bonus threshold is 60 points, and the bonus is the difference between the score achieved and 30.
For example: When you complete your upper with 63, you would score 63 - 30 = 33 bonus points.

===Middle section===

This is a higher and lower section which are similar to Chance in Yahtzee and a bonus that is the difference between them.
* '''Plus''' - scores the sum of all dice
* '''Minus''' - scores the sum of all dice
* '''Delta''' - automatically calculated - scores the '''Plus''' score minus the '''Minus''' score

So if the Plus score was 22 and the Minus score was 13, the Delta score would be nine. Note that Plus and Minus does not count towards the final score.

===Lower section===

Scoring is different here for four of a kind and there is no three of a kind. There is no chance. Yams is more generous: four 1s will net you 40+ points in four of a kind, whereas in Yahtzee it would net you a maximum of 10 points.
* '''Four of a Kind''' - 40 points plus the sum of the dice
* '''Full House''' - 30 points plus the sum of all dice
* '''Small Straight''' - 45 points
* '''Large Straight''' - 50 points
* '''Yahtzee (Yams)''' - 50 points plus sum of dice
* '''Rigole''' - 4 times the same number and 1 time the opposite number on a dice. This gives six possible sequences:
**{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{YellowDie|6}}
**{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{YellowDie|5}}
**{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{YellowDie|4}}
**{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{YellowDie|3}}
**{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{YellowDie|2}}
**{{yellowDie|6}}{{yellowDie|6}}{{yellowDie|6}}{{yellowDie|6}}{{YellowDie|1}}

* ''Maxi Yatzy'': All six dice with the same number. Score: '''100''' points.

The score required to earn the upper section bonus is increased to 84 points (four of each number). The value of the bonus is also increased to 100 points.

If a player does not use all three rolls during a turn (for example, if a ''Castle'' or similar combination is achieved on the first or second roll), the unused roll(s) can be saved and used during future turns.

==Yahtzee==

===Upper section===

1-6: One category for each number on the die. In these categories, the score is the sum of the pips on the dice of that number.

{{InfoBox|title=Example|body=A roll of

:{{whiteDie|1}}{{whiteDie|1}}{{whiteDie|2}}{{whiteDie|5}}{{whiteDie|5}}

could be scored as 2 points in the "ones" category, 2 points in the "twos" category, 10 points in the "fives" category, or 0 points in the "threes," "fours," or "sixes."}}

If a player scores a total of at least 63 points across these six boxes combined, a bonus of 35 points is added to their final score. (Tip: Scoring Three of each number is exactly 63 and nets the bonus.)

===Lower section===

<nowiki>*</nowiki> If you get a 2nd yahtzee, you automatically get 100 bonus points. You must score it in the appropriate upper section if it is available. Otherwise, you can use it as a "joker" to score another category in the bottom section.

==Yams==

In the game of Yams, the categories and calculations are slightly different. Scores are generally higher.

===Upper section===

This is similar to Yahtzee but the bonus is calculated differently. The bonus threshold is 60 points, and the bonus is the difference between the score achieved and 30.
For example: When you complete your upper with 63, you would score 63 - 30 = 33 bonus points.

===Middle section===

===Lower section===

* '''Small Straight''' - 45 points
* '''Large Straight''' - 50 points
* '''Yahtzee (Yams)''' - 50 points plus sum of dice
* '''Rigole''' - 4 times the same number and 1 time the opposite number on a dice. This gives six possible sequences:
**{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{yellowDie|1}}{{YellowDie|6}}
**{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{yellowDie|2}}{{YellowDie|5}}
**{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{yellowDie|3}}{{YellowDie|4}}
**{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{yellowDie|4}}{{YellowDie|3}}
**{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{yellowDie|5}}{{YellowDie|2}}

= Summary =

Rainbow is a card game duel for two players using 9 different colored cards. Each card has 2 different colors on its front/back. <br/>
Players hold 3 cards in hand and cannot initially see the second color on the back side of their cards, while the opponent can see the backside of your held cards.<br/>
Players in turn play cards in the common area (the <i>table</i>). <br/>
You can earn cards by completing a rainbow (which are 6 different colors) or causing the opponent to make errors or shadows. <br/>
The purpose of the game is to win more cards than your opponent. <br/>

Tactics, combination skills and a good memory are what it takes to win.

= Play =

You can play 1 to 3 cards on your turn. <br/>
However, if you want to play a second or third card, you must flip a card that is already in play on the table. <br/>
You can pass at any time after playing a card from your hand or turning over a card from the table. <br/> <br/>

White cards are wilds. More than one can be on the board.

When playing from your hand, you can choose to play as it is or flip it over. After each card played, the turn may end if one of the following conditions are met:<br/> <br/>

'''Error'''︰ If two cards on the table show the same color, your opponent wins the round.

'''Shadow'''︰ If you reveal a Black card on the table after playing or flipping a card, your opponent wins the round.

'''Rainbow'''︰ If you complete the rainbow (6 different colors of cards), you win the round. <br /> <br />

Whoever wins the round takes all the cards in play. <br/>
The loser of the previous round begins the next round.
<br/>

= End of game =
