Bärenpark is mostly about tactics rather than long term strategy. The two key points are: 1) be efficient filling your park, and 2) pay attention to what your opponents are doing.

== Be efficient ==

Being efficient at filling up your park means things that you may have already realised if you've been playing Bärenpark for a while such as:

a) Never end your turn without a tile in hand that you can place on your next turn.

b) Try to minimize the number of 1 square holes you end up with - the less toilets you need to fill up gaps in your park the better.

c) Take the best tile you can. While you can pick up a tile from a lower tier when you cover up an orange excavator or white cement truck, this would usually be a suboptimal decision.

d) Use the "try mode" to help you work out how you can best fit tiles in your park efficiently.

e) Think carefully about how you place your new park areas. You probably want to cover up either the orange excavator and/or the white cement mixers quickly. Getting early pick of the enclosure tiles means getting more choice of shapes and tiles worth more points. Similarly being able to get more than your share of animal houses can give you a significant advantage over your opponent/s.

f) Try to remain flexible and leave yourself open to multiple options for efficiently filling up your remaining space, when possible.

Beginners quite often overvalue completing park areas for the bear statues points. The difference between a bear statue and the one underneath it is only 1 point (or 2 points in 2p). You don't want to ignore this entirely but putting off completing an area for a few turns will often allow you to get more points from claiming achievements or getting higher value animal houses and enclosures than you would've got from getting an earlier bear statue. The real trick is to know when to do this which leads into point 2...

== Pay attention to what your opponents are doing ==

All the ways to score points in Bärenpark are potentially worth more points the earlier you do them (achievements, bear statues, animal houses & enclosures). But it's just not possible to be quick at all of these at once. Take a quick moment to assess your opponents' boards and the supply. What are your opponents working towards? What tiles in the supply might be gone before your next turn?

No matter what an opponent is focusing on, they will be neglecting something else. Or even better, you may see an opportunity where you can beat them to an achievement they've been working towards and then they'll have to settle for a lower amount of points for it.

Generally the best time to claim any achievement (or bear statue) is the exact turn before your opponent is about to get it. If there's no way your opponents can beat you to the achievement you've been working towards before your next turn, it may be worth doing something else with this turn and claiming the achievement next turn instead. But remember to always be efficient at filling up your park too.

Jesslc: /* Objectives */

== Playing Turns ==

To start: Place your initial tile on your park area. (It must fit on the board and not cover a pit.)

In later turns, place any tile you have obtained on your park area, touching at least one edge of a previously placed tile. It still must fit on the board and not cover a pit.

If you do not have any tiles, you must pass. Gain a Green Area of your choice, and then end your turn.

== Covering icons ==

When any portion of a tile covers an icon on the park board, you get a reward from the group supply.

* Green wheelbarrow: Gain a Green Area (1 to 3 squares) of your choice.
* White cement truck: Gain an Animal House tile (4 squares) or a Green Area (1 to 3 squares) to your supply. Animal Houses earn victory points when placed.
* Orange excavator: Gain an Enclosure tile (5 squares) to your supply. Enclosures earn victory points when placed.
* Construction crew: Gain a new park area and place it immediately. It must border an existing area and not be at a level lower than your entrance.

When you fill any park area completely, you earn a bear statue worth victory points. Finishing a park area earlier is worth more victory points.

The game end is triggered when a player completes all four of their Park Areas. Each other player gets one more turn and then counts up their points. Most points wins

== Achievements ==
Most experienced Bärenpark players like to play with achievements. 3 random achievements are placed under the supply area. Hover over the achievements to see what is required to earn them. (Long press on mobile). Completing achievements earlier is worth more victory points.

== End of game ==
The player with the most points wins. In case of a tie, the tied players total the point values on the tiles left in their supply (which they did not place)-the highest-value total breaks the tie. If still tied, there are multiple winners.

== Pit variant ==
As an expert variant, you can cover up pits on your last turn, though you won't get the bear bonus for a tile with its pit covered up.

Jesslc: /* Overview */

===Overview===

This game has 2 versions, 2 player and 3+ player, each play DIFFERENTLY

On a 2 player game, you are trying to guess the tiles of your opponent

In a 3+ player game, you are trying to guess the undistributed tiles

All codes are arranged in ascending order. When there are two identical digits of different colors, the black one will be on the left.

===TURN===

On your turn, you have two options:

1 ) Ask a question from the available pool

On 2 and 3 players, only your opponents answer

On 4 players, you also give your answer

2 ) Guess the code

If you guess incorrectly, you are out. If everyone guesses incorrectly, there is no winner.

If you guess correctly, the remainder of the round continues to give all players equal turns then everyone who guessed correctly at the end of that round is an equal winner

NOTE: Although there are multiple versions of this game, this adaptation uses the version whereby you may only guess during your turn NOT out of turn

===BGA HELP===

The white board is your notepad in essence and is made up of multiple areas.

If added in the options (recommended) the game will auto-fill 100% known info (e.g. if the question was "where is number 8", as opposed to "do you have an even number" which is vague and you have to figure out yourself)

You can click on any large white space and, similar to Sudoko, a box will come up with a keypad of theory numbers (multiple can be selected) which appear as small notes as to what you think is in each space. (e.g. 7 will appear at top left and 9 will appear at top right, so if you're note sure if it's 7 OR 9 you can pencil in both numbers)

The lower part of the white space has the three colours, you can cross or tick these to show whether you think it's a certain colour, you can tick and cross multiple e.g. tick black and white whilst crossing green

Above the other players boxes is an area with every number in the game, you can use this to cross numbers off as you disqualify them

To the right of this is a representation of the final answer, this is NOT the guessing area, but can be used to formulate what you think the final answer is in theory
